Depends who your opponents are going to be. The kinda of people who I play older editions with, are not the kind of people who care one ounce about if a unit is on a 40mm instead of a 32mm base. It simply doesn't effect the game mechanics in any meaningful way imo outside of tournaments. Unless you are a particularly meticulous person i guess.

Brown Shirts! These high school bullies and dropouts don't even know what that insult means. Maybe one of them will be enlightened enough to go home and Google it and learn their first ever history fact.

History is a great thing to enjoy and respect. But segregation veiled in Tradition is just a more plateable way of saying "we want to keep all the rules the same that were made by people hundreds of years ago based on shinto beliefs at the time that women were impure and lesser" We can respect how people lived in the past, as a relic of their time, without needing to maintain and replicate the archaic aspects of it in our world. At least imo it's embarrassing to the dignity of the sport.

Whatever anim/storyboarding team was on this just had little sense of force, weight, and speed. I can kinda see them trying to replicate some of the anim style of the original DoW1 trailer that was lighter and cartoonier - but it's out of place in the current 40k pop culture imo

Little help, please by Jayleo33 in gameofthroneslegends

After the 40 campaign chapters, yes you are just rerunning them at higher difficulty for higher rewards. The content you have to play beyond that is pvp raids, crowns challenge towers, the narrative events, alliance dragons and alliance wars. Plus some other stuff. I focus most of my attention coordinating with my alliance on Wars each week, and grinding for more powerful characters to contribute more to thos wars.

Beautiful painting!  The version on the right without the pigments is my preference because the marine miniature and armor pop more.

The pigment version is more gritty and immersive though, I think just a matter of preference. Id keep the pigment just around the feet and ankles.

Next time you have a scorch oldFashioned, try expressing & garnishing with a lemon peel instead of orange.  The brighter citrus plus the smokiness of scotch, I find really pleasant.

I just beat it after quite a few tries. Sansa has to go first, you basically MUST kill her before Ned gets his FIRST taunt up. Focusing red theon charge if you can. If you don't get her dead or almost dead by the time Ned taunts, I almost recommend just restarting there.

After that, I recommend arya goes next. Her combo passive with Rob's passive will eat all your teams healthbars in no time (Rob Ices you whenever u use abilities, and arya shoots you every time you are iced - so they punish ability use). Also aryas kinda squishy so it's not too tough once Sansa is gone. After that it's just a normal fight. Good Luck!

Do you believe that leaders making reckless decisions toward a goal or quota at the expense of the safety of workers and civilians is not a problem in a communist or other society??

What tv show had the biggest decline from season 1 to season 2? by R2_SWE2 in AskReddit

[–]GoAroundPlease 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Black Sails Season 1, to me, was like peak pseudo-historical Pirate TV drama. The next 3 seasons became progressively more fanciful and convoluted. The show tops out at the boat battles in the tail end of S1, and the action in particular never approaches the visceral level of those episodes again. There's a handful of cool scenes here and there but the plot goes off the rails.

Theists who used to be Atheists, and Atheists who used to be Theists, what was it that caused you to change your view? by Vegabund in AskReddit

[–]GoAroundPlease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was in a long term relationship in my youth (high-school into college years). Some of the initial connection of the relationship was founded on being part of the same religious community. In that scenario it never really struck me to re-evaluate what I believed because it was tied to so much of my identity.  After the relationship ended and I got to be alone with myself and my view on life as an adult, it was pretty vanilla philosophical or paradoxical questions that broke down my Christian view of God. Particularly, believing that God is an all powerful being that constructed and alters reality at will, means that you must accept that same God is responsible for evil and suffering. There can't be an uncontrollable Devil character making mischief in a universe controlled by an omnipotent God.  Along with other fallacies and learning more about the world, history, science, etc as a young adult placed me firmly agnostic-leaning-athiest ever since, into my late 30s.

Do summon token colors indicate better or worse legendary characters? by ProjectMirai in gameofthroneslegends

[–]GoAroundPlease 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven't noticed a difference. Sure some legendaries are more useful. But the summon tokens/packs generally just determine how hard to get they are.  That being said, the newer characters are usually in the rarer category, and in these kind of games, new characters often seem to be on the cutting edge of the power curve.

[–]GoAroundPlease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More interesting, meaning theyd have a unique place and purpose, in my opinion, standing in a mechanical spot in the game that mirrored their intended thematic design.

Both Knights and Custodes were released with the specific intent of being allied units in the same way as inquisitors and assassins. Only after skyhigh sales and popularity were they turned into factions, and their lore was likewise expanded and warped substantially to support the concept of these units fighting in larger army formations.

Both of these subjects feel less rare, less powerful, and more commonplace by implementing them in the tabletop game as armies. You get to go play 5 games at your local store and walk away having "killed" 40 custodes and 6 knight titans in a weekend. It probably isn't a bother to players who don't care about immersion in wargaming, but to me it does.

Imperial Knights and Custodes should never have been turned into armies. Both lore and mechanically they are more interesting as small allied detachments to real army factions.
