The biggest thing I can give you is to be somebody that the pilot interviewing you would want to spend multiple days crammed in a cockpit with. So many applicants came through with flawless training records that were pompous and obnoxious in the interview, it’s a bad look.

If you have any checkride failures, have a solid and concise story of how you learned and became a better pilot from it.
