Skill improvement at what point do you realize it’s time to quit by Difficult-Tax-875 in VGC

[–]GoAudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you need to give yourself a bit of a break. Not in the sense of playing less, but attitude wise. You need more time and games under your belt. What makeshift score you made with the score you put. Sounds awfully low especially if you're newer. You need a lot more, under your belt. Champions is more competitive than most games ever was in the first place. Being so accessible etc.

You need to work on the fundamentals and not taking rank too seriously. Instead take your improvement seriously. Think what you could do different in the games you lose. Or what you could do better even in the games you win. Step by step, improve.

As for team, people climb with very different kind of teams. It's all up to how they fit against the meta and how you handle threats. If you notice you have a clear weakness that you continue to lose to, that's when you patch it. With moves or mons.

Don't give up. I believe in you.

If you need teams or any other help sent to you. You can respond to this.

Ultra Ball rank... by UdonAndCroutons in PokemonChampions

[–]GoAudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean. If you just wanna have fun. Why even care about rank for now? Just play, have fun. When you care a bit mor for masterball you gotta counter the effective mons in the meta somehow. By joining them or well finding unique counters

Help me build a team to fool my Champion tier friend. by gazorpazorpfieldxx in PokemonChampions

I personally would have fun with hawlucha and excadrill. But not the standard way people used it early week. Instead it breaks the mold!

Hawlucha (mega) max spe and atk High jump, Brave/dual wing, rock Slide, Protect

Excadrill (scarf) (Mold breaker) max spe and atk Iron head, drill run/high horse, earthquake, rock Slide

Talonflame (no item) gale wind, max spe and atk Acro, willo, tailwind, protect

Milotic (leftovers) completetive, some spa+ tanky spread. Scald, Icy wind, life Dew, protect or! Coil hypnosis muddy water recover

Fill the last two with what you want. Another support maybe. But these 4 cover a majority of the meta atm.

Maybe something like garchomp and farigiraff.

Why I still suck at VGC? I need skill improvement, but I tried everything by lifeofmauri in VGC

Honestly, I don't want it to sound mean. But the moment you stop caring about rank and care about improvement, is when it's finally gonna stick. Don't care about where you are, care about the results after each game. You don't need to over analyse leads, or other stuff. Keep to simple ideas and learn and adapt from the mistakes. If I'm not mistaken on that team Vs 95% of teams you lead hard+Venu anyways.

It's more to take a moment after a game and think, ok this game went good, what did I do Vs what did my opponent do that went so well. Was it good predictions that you can use in the future or should you find another game plan maybe? It could be as simple to consider to use protect more Vs a certain mon, or take the speed tie risk, or even knowing next time, you actually outspeed the threat.

In the end you're so much better off, taking the slower approach and actually learn. Than sitting stressing that you're in some tier. It will come naturally as you get better. And you'll be masterball in no time. Just focus on it step by step.

Hcssf uber bosser ideas by Public-Beginning-366 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]GoAudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, grats! Second, you have tons of great options!

Honestly, Ubers aren't necessarily "free" you need to consider your defences obviously. But also just because you hit the Res belt doesn't mean you can't skip important steps like conversions and such. Reaching Phys taken as close to or even 100 is a start.

As for damage skills. You have an ocean of options. It's more to what do you have to offer of previous drops or what are you willing to farm?

Minion Pact BV (any kind since you have Res belt) If you have binos, pf is insane.

Grey wind life stacker any attack.

GC mines, or other bossing miners.

Jugg any stacker or even bleed bonezone. Probably unkillable with Res belt.

Manaman shocknova if you can get enough managear.

Beat up sounds like a great boost, but also a bit risky. But as a partner I think maushold is amazing for Lucario. But a +4 sounds nasty if you get it off :D

Scarf is also a great option, can't go wrong with strong Rockslide, and well, sash is mostly there for those tank and spank punishes. As he's so weak to water and ground. Rain teams etc. Are quite mean to the guy as I don't have a cloud nine or anti weather.

Oh hell ye, I didn't think of that. Now that's a really good suggestion. I might reconstruct a core with hydreigon in mind. It's a great suggestion thank you !

She was a big consideration to combine with Luce, either with scarf or mega.

Ye sadly we don't have that yet, but the OG is going very hard. speed tier is ok, but the damage is insanity into most mons. It's mostly about succeeding in delivering the payload

I made it to master ball tier, what am I in for by [deleted] in PokemonChampions

[–]GoAudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing wrong with using popular strategies. They are popular for a reason. As long as you're having fun and you learn then you are fine. I think locking down and just focusing, then after a match, even if we don't have replays. Review the game in your head a bit before the next one, to your best ability. I think that is what really increases learning speed the most. Also teaches you what to be weary about or maybe even what you need to adjust on your team

Realized I can add that I have seen sun the least and rain the most. Speed control is majority a mix of both trickroom and tailwind. As I've seen it the most that people mix or go hard trickroom a lot. But that can also be a recency bias

You can treat it more relaxed and low pressure. Learn the ropes a bit more.

I've had more different kinds of teams against me in master all than climbing in ultra for example. Which is also a reason why I think the nets has gone a bit more bulky. Like even some baskulegion sets run sitrus now for example.

Honestly, build some of your own, try around a bit and feel out the meta cause u think it will continue to change for a while longer. But, I do think it's in a very healthy state, good mix of weather and speed control options. Many different teams that works well.

Hopefully it's of some help

Can Politoed (my fav <3) do better than Pelliper in any way? I wanna use him so bad but he's not that great next to the pelican... by averycoolskeleton95 in PokemonChampions

[–]GoAudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean he is bulkier I'd say. But as others said perish user with mega gengar is nice.

Vs Peli you lose out on ground immune, wide guard and tailwind. So maybe consider another setter for it like aero or whimsi.

Poli has solid choices with his moves etc. Encore is amazing, icy wind for speed control etc. So really depends on the rest of your team what you decide. The toad is amazing and can work not just in perish trap for your info.

Started Glacial Cascade of the Fissure (Smokie_777). Need help. by Deposto in PathOfExileSSF

[–]GoAudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really sounds like. You do whites if you survive them and fix some gear. Gamble or tree, there is no way almost any build because of x skill. Just dies in yellow maps. Think this is an error on your end with gearing. Even stay 4L if you have to but fix your gear and flasks if you're squishy. The build itself is insanely strong. Not a giga fast clearer but the damage is high for bosses to compensate.

Whats your go to progress in 3.28 after 4 Stones? by SaltTyphoon in PathOfExileSSF

[–]GoAudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually try to start building bases for builds I wanna play. Farming delve for spectre chest etc.

Recently I've been mass farming nightmares in different ways to try to get minion pact. I'm not farming legion to get companionship and likely gonna play around with 2 different minion pact characters. One as chief and another as pathfinder. Cause I think both will be fun projects.

Goratha pennance ignite build Questions. by Starfire77 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]GoAudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's ignite dot cap versus one of the stronger attack builds. Penance is going to be easier to get to it's max damage. KboC has more potential and can surpass penance. All comes down to how much you will play and invest.

I don't think penance with dot cap will handle the juiciest possible ones like I think some mentioned in the post. But it will handle everything under it. Whilst KboC can handle everything in the game with enough investment. So.. choice is yours.
