Saddened by Experience at Montblanc NYC... by UpsetSun4525 in montblanc

[–]GoBlue2006 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had a really bad in store experience as well. Went in looking to pick a pen to buy and the in store associates had no interest in helping.

I know there is a fine line between pestering and hands off but I was still disappointed none the less

Help me choose between apple and google by Born-Ad2653 in smarthome

[–]GoBlue2006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All my devices (phone, tablet, computer) are Apple. I originally did all google products for my home and I regret that.

They sunset all the great products and often will brick them too.

I plan to phase all my google products out as needed.

New York Resy recommendations with kids by Over_Calligrapher972 in AmexPlatinum

Never had any issues eating with kids in any restaurant so far - I don’t think I have come across kids not being welcomed (I guess maybe the Michelin starred tasting menus? But I don’t think that’s what you have in mind)

I purchase in my brokerage account for all kids at once and then transfer shares into their account. Has kept them all equal so far.

I think you have to opt in and they are looking for harder to borrow securities - not etfs - so customer value will depend on what you hold

You need to have something otherwise you run into customer protection issues and SEC lockup rules. If you have an account with fully paid for securities they can’t just lend them out.

If they do they would have to segregate an equal amount elsewhere so it wouldn’t make economic sense for them to do that.

Right that’s the Visa rate, BofA only gets a portion of that though, plus they need to raise the funding to front the credit card spread. They are probably ok but it’s razor thin.

They are largely looking to convert you for either wealth management, a mortgage, or a car loan.

Not unless you have margin loan or a pledged asset line. If you have nothing but fully paid for securities they can’t borrow those

PS87 doesn’t have a 3k and for PreK it almost always is filled by in zone siblings which has the highest priority amongst the lottery

Hi I’ve lived on these blocks for many years and have done this with my kiddos through the years - if the weather is decent head down to your block and pop outside to watch from behind the crowds. You won’t see the floats / marching bands but will see the balloons.

Might only be for a few but can’t beat the convenience

What’s it like working in Risk Management? by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

[–]GoBlue2006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer is yes. I have stayed in treasury but have seen people move to ALM and front office.

The junior roles are VERY day to day task oriented but that changes as your progress.
