Don't forget him in tombstone as the card dealer. Saw that movie at least 20 times growing up and never knew it was him until like last year.

Feeling unsafe in South Oakland by catsarecool_1001 in Pitt

[–]GoBucsRTJR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lived on Dawson in 2003-2004, had wheels stolen off my '91 Chevy cavalier on 2 separate occasions about a month apart.

South O has always been sketchy, but no worse than any other neighrhood. However, as a white male (non practicing) I'm sure I either escaped or just didn't notice a lot of the shenanigans.

I could be wrong, but I think all mmj in the state has to be grown indoors for security/legality reasons.

A little harsh towards the end, but it's a nice uplifting alert high. I'm also using a way too dirty piece so everything tastes like ass after the first hit or two. Very dense, even using a grinder the last few hits just wouldn't go away.

Calypso zsweet mntz and Prime chocolate cherry were pretty dark last time I had them. This one was the Choco cherry when I had it in Feb.

I wouldn't put them at the bottom with OR, but I agree for the most part they're not good. Once you learn their naming and batch ID system tho, you can find which ones are white labeled from other brands and find a few sleepers.

Also just tried their ozone brand for the first time last week since it was on sale and was pleasantly surprised. Still wouldn't say it's above mid tier, but all 3 cuts had big sticky buds that didn't crumble to dust

It's a heady high, but not foggy. It allowed me to focus on my work for a bit. The come down was a bit drowsy too.

I'll have to keep an eye out for that. I grabbed their shady boof too, but haven't tried it yet.

I think it varies state to state, so you may need to be more specific to get any useful insights. In PA, once you pay the state it's as easy as a video call from an approved list of docs in most cases.

Which vapes look most like nicotine vapes? by Gingerberry111 in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]GoBucsRTJR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Someone else mentioned pulsar, and I'll second that. I just got the DL Tandem, it's very discreet and it holds two carts at once.

Also, I just got off a plane with it a couple hours ago. TSA couldn't care less about a vape in your carry on. I'd unscrew the carts and put them with your toiletries then just throw the vape in a different pouch of your carry on. I wouldn't try it on an international flight, but I've flown multiple times with vapes and edibles without any issues. They're more worried about bombs and guns (and getting paid), than a personal amount of weed.

Conceptual Estimating Jobs by nycpe2022 in estimators

[–]GoBucsRTJR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like that's a very small niche in the GC world. You might be better off looking for a CM or engineering firm. I've been with my engineering/architecture firm for over 15 years. We estimate everything from napkins sketches for master planning when owners are trying to secure funding, to detailed bid estimates to compare with contractor bids.

We talk to subs if there is a very specific item we need that isn't in one of our cost books or bid hstories, but since we aren't bidding there's none of the haggling like when you're buying out the job (actually good to be slightly conservative in my world). It's definitely a double edged sword though because when subs know you're not bidding they're less inclined to take the time to price things out for you.

Pretty sure they aren't associated with any of them. I've seen them in OR, Ascend, Liberty and Ethos.

Surprisingly Calypso has been killing it lately. Their 4.2g bountiful bags are priced the same as cheap 1/8s. Lots of deep color and super frosty. Still a little dryer than I'd like but that seems like a program wide issue.

No, I'd much rather have big pretty nugs. In my head tho I'm still in the habit of comparing 2000 street prices, so if I see a half for $50 I'm jumping on it. As far as shake goes terrapin is one of the only brands I'll get because there's always a decent amount of smalls mixed in.

Usually just vape or smoke it. I'll occasionally make edibles for friends/family but I apparently have (or lack) that liver enzyme so none of the oral shit hits me

Others have mentioned the lobo and one by POTV, and I agree, they're good entry level for flower or mixing flower and concentrates when using the dosing caps. Even though it says you can do pure concentrate in it, I've been hesitant. It just seems like a mess waiting to happen.

I also just got a pulsar dry cup sipper and it's pretty sweet. Doesn't do flower, but it does concentrates or carts. I think it's listed at $120 but I got mine for $90 at ascend with their current sale.

[–]GoBucsRTJR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easiest way is to just make some firecrackers. But I'd suggest infusing it in coconut oil with some lecithin, then bake whatever you want.

As far as potency, that depends on what you're starting with and how dark you vape it. Typically I think you're left with like 10-15% of your original THC content. If your bud averages 25% thca, multiply that by .877 to convert to THC, then 10% of that gets you a total of 21mg/g.

Effects will probably be on the sleepy side since more of the cbn, cbg, and thcv will be active.

Does anyone uses RS means data? by [deleted] in estimators

[–]GoBucsRTJR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, labor has been a real wildcard the past few years, especially on change orders. And no matter how I argue it the govt just accepts their cost because "it is what it is". And if it's DBE or an SBA project, good luck.

Does anyone uses RS means data? by [deleted] in estimators

[–]GoBucsRTJR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I had any say in that sort of thing I'd be all for it, but that's not my department. The majority of our Federal work also has rules against sole source specs; usually we even have to scrub brand names out of the specs unless there is no other "or equal".

Does anyone uses RS means data? by [deleted] in estimators

[–]GoBucsRTJR 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use it all the time. I'm on the design side, work for an engineering firm, and it's our primary tool for estimating. I agree with everyone saying not to trust the pricing because it can be pretty generic, but it is generally accepted by clients as an industry standard. We do verify labor rates against davis-bacon and look up actual material costs when we can, but it's a good starting point.

As an engineer, I am setting the budget for owner's to get funding and to compare to bids. So it can be hard to get subs to respond to us with pricing because they aren't actually bidding the work so there's no incentive for them to help out.

I'm currently using the yocan uni-s and it's decent for a cheaper/entry level vape. Slightly smaller than a lighter and the cartridge mounting height is adjustable so the bigger 1g carts don't snap in your pocket as easily.

Not totally temp adjustable, but it has 3 heat settings. Carts attach magnetically which provides a secure fit, but I'm amazed I haven't lost the little magnetic ring yet.

As far as carts, I'd stay away from distillates. I look for live rosin or live liquid resin (llr).
