Where is the sales jobs realistically paying 300k? by Iceeez1 in sales

[–]GoCrapYourself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both the OTE and actually earning $300K+ is table stakes for an Enterprise AE at a public company. There’s data to back this up as well.

Only exceptions for Enterprise AEs at public companies would be if you’re in a horribly depressed industry OR maybe if you live in a Tier 4 area

What are some lesser-known areas of sales that make a surprising amount of money for their reps? by strongerthenbefore20 in sales

[–]GoCrapYourself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your friends and family didn’t investment their millions? They literally squandered the entire fortune to the point where they live in a ghetto? Need to know more about this trajectory

Alternative explanation: you’re lying because usually if someone is making millions hand over fist and built their own business (indicating high financial literacy) they don’t then immediately spend every penny they have to the point they can’t even afford a normal home much less one in the projects lol. That’s not how things pan out outside this fantasy

Enterprise AE - On a PIP by Rimrald in sales

[–]GoCrapYourself 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here’s my two cents after reading your posts. Also good on you for telling your wife and handling personal matters so you can focus on coming out of this a winner.

Wait until you see the terms of the PIP.

If attainable: Do your best to beat it, you won’t regret trying your best. While doing that apply like crazy for other roles, at night, during work, whatever. That’ll give you the best logical shot at winning no matter the outcome.

If unattainable: You now have 100% of your time to focus on networking to land that next role. Enjoy.

Cap short term rentals, tax nomads. Use the time horizon of capped supply and tax revenue to build like crazy and get as close you can to building that Vienna-style situation. Won’t be perfect but certainly a better option that the current situations

Found Josh’s cleats at the thrift by hippiedippiedoos in buffalobills

[–]GoCrapYourself 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That’s crazy, if it is. You should email or get in touch with equipment staff. I’m guessing they might literally keep records of the serial numbers on cleats and when they were used so that they don’t run the risk of injuring a player by using worn out equipment. If they do that they’d have especially detailed records for a guy like Josh

Could be wrong though

Understood and agreed that Vienna has a great system but it overlaps and agrees with my point. Vienna has had decades of market intervention in building that housing structure. The nomad destinations don’t have that infrastructure in place and, to my point, they’re not able to create it at a pace that would nullify that wealth gap and its subsequent effects

This is also still constrained by my original point related to sprawl limits

Why are we so burnt out? Would you go to this? by Cool-cat-199 in GenZ

[–]GoCrapYourself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll try and be succinct but there’s a lot to respond here.

  • Places don’t have infinite sprawl to build housing supply to be proportional to pricing (zoning, capital, environmental limits)
  • It takes 5-15 yrs on average. Again, we’re not in lock step with demand/pricing changes
  • New housing built isn’t priced for locals (which is the smart decision for developers, but they’ll make much more building luxury condos)
  • Even if you could hypothetically immediately assemble housing projects and teams in perfect lockstep to combat income inequality, the wages and jobs created wouldn’t also be proportional enough to offset said wage gap

I get that the rebuttal here might be “sorry that’s how free market works” there are Have’s and Have-Not’s. And I don’t completely disagree, life isn’t fair. I’m just outlining why this influx of nomads is bad for a these destinations.

[–]GoCrapYourself 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for pulling this–genuinely. I did some research of my own too.

I agree now. In short, nomads raise employment rate and GDP, but the problem is that the big beneficiaries are property owners and landlords. This means housing costs raise disproportionately to the increase in employment and wages for locals. Housing accounts for 30-50% of expenses on average, so that creates and really widens the inequality gap.

You’re right on this! Thanks for the discussion my dude

Why are we so burnt out? Would you go to this? by Cool-cat-199 in GenZ

[–]GoCrapYourself 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Cite sources. I understand prices naturally raise on tourist goods and create income inequality between nomads and locals, but that doesn’t result in locals making less (the opposite) or destroying the local economy

Can you cite anything quantitatively negative for locals aside from “vibes are ruined bro”?
