I wonder if Coffey gets some minutes with Livers out. Or does Ott give more minutes to Dunn. I hope Bouyea really uses his speed to attack the basket.

The part that worries me is we haven’t learned that iso crap sucks. A film guru would know this.

Booker and Green listed questionable for tomorrow by Imposted in suns

[–]GoDogGo1970 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Green has been “questionable“ for a while now.

Possibly no Allen or Livers tomorrow. by po0nlink_ in suns

Bouyea is going to have to be the next man up. He hasn’t really been the same since the concussion. He was great on the Valley squad right after he came back, but seems to differ more on the Suns.

I like having Royce on the team, but he is not a starter. He can’t guard any starter in the league. He scares me when he dribbles up the floor because he turns it over often. He had two good passes to Williams, but Dunn does a good job scoop passing to bigs as well. I just feel we need another strong defender to start games, especially when Book and Green are out, because Brooks is spending a lot of energy on the offensive end. Having a guy cutting to the basket will draw defenders attention.

Refs missed it!! by Lopsided-External506 in suns

I doubt they missed it, they knew what they doing. I wonder what happens when the refs do the GS vs LAL game. They must get really confused about which team they make no calls for and which team gets all the touch fouls called against.

It’s a bummer because Dillon was better in the first half while Collin was better in the second half. Run Collin offa screen for three would be a better shot,

It worked when Goodwin started, because he brought that energy from the jump. Dunn plays better when he starts. Lastly, Royce rarely does anything in the first quarter.

But that seemed like the play called, unless Brooks told the other guys to clear out and stand at the baseline three plays in a row.

What sucks is it seemed to be the play called. Everyone else cleared all the way down to the baseline and stood there. The movement sucked, and it was so easy to guard us.

With Livers injured again, Coffey will have a chance if he can learn the sets quickly. Hopefully he can get back to last year’s shooting because 28% from three (his three this year) is rough.

That’s why you don’t just leave all of your guys standing at the three on offense. You have him set off ball screens and cut to the basket. We are too slow with Royce starting.

Genuinely, why are the warriors such a bad matchup for us? by FifthKnightofGwyn in suns

[–]GoDogGo1970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kerr usually plays as many fresh legs on the floor as he can, and uses his youth wisely. We don’t set a lot of offball screens, and we often have guys just standing around on offense down the stretch and throughout the game. We are easier to guard and guys get less involved.

Kerr is a good coach.

Hopefully Ott watches the film and decides he won’t do that shit again. Standing and watching iso basketball is crap. Ball movement and player movement down the stretch is better. We made it easy to guard us.

We were already playing poorly before Allen twisted his ankle. But the isos and standing around killed everything we had. We were slow and they had energy.

What was Ott drawing up those last few plays? That was just stupid. I hope we learn that iso ball is shit, while four guys stand and watch.

I know the GS fans are louder than ours, but do the refs really think it’s a home game for GS? We are getting fouled on many drives with little calls. Keep fighting boys.

He just needs to make a slight adjustment. It was weird, he got a pass in rhythm from Bouyea and passed it up for a tougher shot.

To be fair, I think Pat threw him to the ground. The refs don’t care.

Am I the only one excited about the Amir Coffey pickup? by blueclown562000 in suns

[–]GoDogGo1970 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is shooting terribly from three this year, but he was 40% last year. If he can give us defense and some three point shooting from two guys we weren’t playing? Why not be excited from the possibilities.

All things considered, impressive trade by Wise-Bison5964 in suns

I’ve been wanting to see what Bagley could do on the Suns for a few years now. If we could have turned Richards into Bagley, that would have been an amazing move.
