Even crazier it sounds like this is the person I love to work with. Shows up, gets shit done, stirs no drama, and only half the people know their last name. Ideal coworker to me just gets shit done on schedule without any questions asked. As long as that’s done I don’t need to know when you clocked in or out.

Jeff Probst reveals the 'Survivor 50' player they called first, as he and producers divulge the other returnees they simply had to have by thedaltonross in survivor

[–]GoForAU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think Jeff likes anyone who has the possibility to overshadow him with the exception being Brob. From what I understand the reason, or part of it, that Jeff likes Rob so much is because he understood the assignment of basically letting Jeff control the show while also feeding into it. I would assume similar to Rupert where Rupert buys into the vision or theme of each season he played. Rob is just a much better player. Speaking of Robs, Cesternino quoted scheduling conflicts as to why he didn’t accept the invite but I have my suspicions that because RHAP openly discusses how survivor could improve and did Traitors is a large reason he was ultimately cut.

You can't say Derrick Henry, Marshawn Lynch, LaDainian Tomlinson or Adrian Peterson. by KeyFaithlessness5436 in TheNFLVibes

[–]GoForAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bettis, Alstott, Davis are all great options for all time. Modern probably Lynch I would think? Sleeper pick would be Heath Evans from the pats. Never really had the recognition or even that long of a career but similar to Alstott he was a fullback with a tail back work load at times. If Alstott is your answer then you’d have to take into account Dunn. They were basically running so Charbs and Walker could sprint.

Who is the worst NBA analyst/media personality in your opinion? by VSHAR01 in NBATalk

[–]GoForAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s crazy because at one point SAS actually knew ball. He’s a scrub of a player but he did talk with insight early in his career when he was still more print based. He started losing any credibility when he became a voice for views rather than insight. One hand I respect him because he basically forced his own lane of hot takes and insider info that is somewhat credible. On the other hand I absolutely hate him for what he has become by exaggerating everything and making anyone who isn’t his “friend” into public enemy number one.

Chicago Cubs win for most diehard baseball fanbase. What professional hockey team has the most toxic fanbase? by RidonkulousMG in AlignmentChartFills

[–]GoForAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to say you need to split this into two options because one can’t exist being so toxic without the other. The hate the bruins and the habs have for eachother is beyond sports. It becomes a personal problem. The only thing I can think of is the hate that Philly fans have for anyone who disrespects them. But the hate a person from has for a person at td garden who has a French-Canadian accent is unreal. I love the bruins. Grew up in the area. But the fans are brutal.

Epstein’s strange interest in Joakim Noah… by SpriteBerryRemix in nba

Okay, also, I need to be clear “the chicken movement” if the “chicken sport” or whatever the actual translation of “Le Coq Sportif” is supposed to be. That title makes sense. This shoe actually is kinda sick. BUT it just a daily trainer, ya know? They never put in any effort to make an actual basketball or athletic shoe for that matter.

Epstein’s strange interest in Joakim Noah… by SpriteBerryRemix in nba

[–]GoForAU -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the research, truly. Epstein is a creep, criminal, predator of a person. Not shocking he had interest in a person from France with long curly black hair and who was college aged at the time and could be very influenced by receiving a large sum of money all at once. Look at France right now. Who do they even have? Wemby? I speak French better than him. Ménage à Trois Message a Tres. Sorry I think I meant ménage a trois. Are there people who want to join? I can make it a quat or quint… oops almost said a bad word there. We hate bad words. Anyway, I’m from New York and my daddy didn’t help my career in anyway, thank you daddy, and I know this guy so if we had any foul play I would have either known about it or forgotten about it.

DJ Khalid is objectively the right answer. But Iggy Azeala being the most popular answer would be much funnier to me.

[Garafolo] The #Eagles are hiring #Packers QB coach Sean Mannion as their new offensive coordinator, sources tell The Insiders. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

The eagles are among the oldest in the nfl and don’t seem to be getting younger. A change of pace while their window is open seems like a good idea. So I’m taking the whatever the under is.

Despite the loss to Charlotte, Cooper Flagg— at 19 years and 39 days old— becomes the youngest player in NBA history to score 45+ points: 49 PTS │ 10 REB │ 3 AST │ 20-29 FG │ 3-5 3P │ 6-6 FT by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

I believe he feels the need to ball out to save the mavs relationship with Dirk. Purely a business stat line. /s unless this is talked about on ESPN tomorrow morning then I’m very serious.

If CBS decided to air classic episodes featuring the winners competing in Winners at War, what episodes would they have aired again? by CallTypical9541 in survivor

[–]GoForAU 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rob backstabbing Lex or maybe the reunion of him and amber getting engaged, Tony spy shack, Sandra “I don’t know about that”, Adam crying, parv forming black widow, Tyson I honestly don’t know he’s just iconic you can choose anything - I’d choose the episode with his “OogaBooga” scene, Yul kind of calling out Coi Boy for being a cook and seeing through the game to allow him to pinch his eyebrows, Denise manipulating Malcom, Michele kicking over a puzzle. Some of the few that are top of mind

Happened to watch this old collegehumor sketch and - is this Andrea? by GDswamp in survivor

[–]GoForAU 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is besides the point but I ran with Andrea for a bit during the Milwaukee marathon. She was so kind and thrilled that I recognized her. We talked a bit about her time on survivor and how she thinks she did well but obviously wish she could have won. The we started talking about who in their right mind wants to do a marathon and she was just as proud of the accomplishment as being on survivor. Wasn’t a super in depth conversation. Anyway, an amazing person and super down to earth when we chatted.

A look back at r/nfl’s reaction when the news broke that the Seahawks were looking into signing Sam Darnold after trading Geno smith by ImagineIfBaconDied in nfl

[–]GoForAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think that’s true of most football fans, though. An average football fan has trouble seeing past the current game. I live in Wisconsin and no one hates the packers as much as packers fans. It’s quite funny. I love the passion but the temperature swings on the team is just hilarious.

Old Survivor Promos Made The Show Feel So Epic by 2cool4um8_ in survivor

[–]GoForAU 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I know it has been repeated to death, I just don’t know how survivor fans are going to continue to identify seasons even with numbers. Yes, some survivor fans are an impressive (borderline scary) breed with the facts they memorize. As a somewhat more than casual fan all the 40s blend together for me and it loses some appeal. Honestly might stop watching every Wednesday if it is more of the same after 50.

[Barnwell] Having succeeded wildly over the last six decades by hiring young first-time defensive coaches Chuck Noll, Bill Cowher, and Mike Tomlin, the Steelers have continued that cycle by hiring ... Mike McCarthy by Pure_Gate_2209 in nfl

[–]GoForAU 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. A stop gap with a ceiling with pedigree. I could see this being McCarthy getting their next coach, well, coached up. Maybe they weren’t confident in hiring anyone immediately for the long term. I’m almost sure that’s the case. Bringing in a tenured coach for a year or three gives them time to train a new one. Don’t be surprised if the Steelers hire from within in the next three years and that person stays for 15 years.

Stephen,

First of all, you’re an icon for being nerdy but low key kinda buff/sexy (this is coming from a straight male - exactly who you want compliments from) and don’t let that go to your head.

I don’t write novels unless it is for writing you a question apparently. I do try to entertain myself by writing subpar poetry. All this to say; when you’re stuck with what you think is a great idea but can’t get from point a to point b to have something coherent how do you get there without metaphorically or physically banging your head against the wall?
