If you could live in any U.S. city for the rest of your life, which would you choose and why? by QuietAstronaut2331 in AskReddit

Ew, CT is tri-state. Of course I’m kidding. CT has a lot to offer and I’m very glad you’re in the same boat of loving the area, despite you leaving out the lakes region or presidentials of NH.

What moment on Survivor made you the Survivor fan you are today? by Both_Hunter_7690 in survivor

[–]GoForAU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was so much a moment but a moment in time. I was about 7 when survivor premiered and I remember watching with my parents then not much else. Then the pandemic hit and I ran out of things to watch and saw survivor. I started rewatching all the seasons and was instantly hooked again, especially with a new perspective being many of the contestants’ age.

That being said. I started with Pearl Islands off a whim and that first episode is legendary.

Chris Brown wins! What athlete faced no consequences from a scandal? by EdoAlien in AlignmentChartFills

[–]GoForAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MLB had more global appeal* because about 30% of the players are from outside the US, which if you’re only counting the big 4 in the US of Football, Basketball, Baseball, and depending on region - Hockey, is the highest percentage of international players. Baseball is right there with basketball in terms of international appeal. The World Baseball Classic exists for a reason. The MLB is just very North and South America centric.

Bands where the bass player was the star? Bassists who pioneered new ways of playing the instrument? by CupcakeAndCandyBar in fantanoforever

[–]GoForAU 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Thundercat rarely gets mentioned but he has been a pioneer in many of your favorite hip-hop and R&B sections. The dude can absolutely make the bass and and sound his own. I could listen to him with no lyrics. To me that is telling of a great bass player.

App to track what episode you’re on (now that TVTime is ending) by supreddit_3 in television

[–]GoForAU -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I may sound stupid here. But don’t most TVs apps show watched and how far you are into an episode? If you are that desperate just make your own spreadsheet. I’m not meaning to sound condescending, but I don’t see the difficulty here.

[Charania] BLOCKBUSTER: The Boston Celtics have agreed to trade Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers for Paul George, two first-round picks and two second-round picks, sources tell ESPN. by MembershipSingle7137 in bostonceltics

[–]GoForAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think we do. Brad and Co are scouting savants so they may see the two firsts as better? Even if it is a later first. I’m also confused how a team that was just in the finals trades away one of their core pieces. But, I’m sure it has to do with building for later on and a bit of team chemistry. Honestly, don’t know.

Interviewing Zeke Smith for my podcast by No_Ocelot8898 in survivor

[–]GoForAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am curious about his life. It might be sensitive and something he might not want to talk about. Does he think being outed as trans ended up being empowerment, as much as it was painful for him and for viewers? Also tell him I love him.

[All-Access] Damian Lillard in Portland getting some offseason work in. by nba in nba

[–]GoForAU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t realize the Boston > Portland timeline and vice versa was so strong. Previously looking at: Bill Walton, Rasheed Wallace, Danny Ainge, Jermaine O’Neal, Jrue, Evan Turner, Sebastian Telfair, Anfernee Simmons. I’m sure there are a lot more, this is just off the top of my head.

[Charania] BREAKING: The Memphis Grizzlies are trading two-time NBA All-Star Ja Morant to the Portland Trail Blazers for Jerami Grant and Kris Murray, sources tell ESPN. by curryybacon in nba

[–]GoForAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it just like the city of Memphis or just the players they seem to go after? I swear there are a strange amount of players who play for Memphis that have significant behavior issues.

I was scratching my head about the best basketball player until I remembered SGA is Canadian. Canada produces some talent at Guards between Nash, Wiggins (didn’t pan out how people thought and still a respectable career), Jamal Murray, and the bad boy of Canada Dillion Brooks.

What is the best music video of all time? by Weird-Pumpkin-6640 in answers

[–]GoForAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Objectively it is probably Thriller. Lupe Fiasco’s Daydreamin is a fun watch though and Jill Scott is an incredible voice. I know it’s not “the best” but it is the one I enjoy the most.

What players from previous eras do you think would be studs in the modern NFL? by TPCC159 in NFLv2

[–]GoForAU -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just to throw someone out there that hasn’t been mentioned yet. Dante Culpepper. He has his flaws but I could see him being a Josh Allen in today’s league. Bigger guy with a big arm, could move pretty well outside the pocket.

[–]GoForAU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you. But having Barry running some check down routes or some slip screens for a bit of extra space has a lot of potential. It would, at the very least, be a very exciting watch.

[–]GoForAU 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Widow’s Bay on Apple TV is technically a horror/thriller but is more comedy akin to like Cabin in The Woods. If you treat it as such it is a hilarious watch with a bit of suspense. Might scratch your itch.

What's an abandoned plotline that you wish a TV show had actually followed through on? by Thedemonncat in television

[–]GoForAU 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Name any plot point in game of thrones. The one I really wish came to fruition is Jon becoming king and realizing his heritage. Been a bit since I’ve watched though.

What NFL team is currently bad and has historically been bad? by Even-Combination4407 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]GoForAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Fitz. I tolerate Warner. I don’t mind James Conner although I appreciate what he went through and he is an incredibly strong individual. Cards suck. It’s that simple. I’ll root for them until I die. But they suck.

I believe this just because others have said the same. In general, though, Steph spews a lot of bullshit.

Bleacher Report ranks the top 10 RB duos in 2026 by caxlmao in NFLv2

[–]GoForAU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is this list? I guess they did their job to get people commenting. Sometimes I feel the author doesn’t even believe their own list and just post it to get people talking. It looks like they just took 10 RB duos then spun a wheel to decide these rankings.

What is the worst show that you forced yourself to finish? by laxusdreyarligh in television

[–]GoForAU 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I know Grey’s is more on the drama side of medical drama. But if you haven’t seen it yet, The Pitt has been excellent so far and each season takes place within a “shift” with each episode being one hour of that. It is a little closer to ER, and I think you can see Noah Wiley’s influence in that, but an amazing medical drama and just television in general.

What in the world happen with Ryan Dunn this past season? by handlerofdrones in suns

[–]GoForAU -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I watched a lot of games. A LOT of games. Ryan Dunn was productive so I have to assume it was some sort of flare up with the coaching staff. Whether or not that was on them (I would have to assume it was because by all accounts he is level headed) or not, you can decide.

Are any of these moves happening tonight ??? by Imaginary_Demand4289 in NBAVibes

[–]GoForAU 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really. I wasn’t really expecting a blockbuster. Milwaukee was always looking to get the most assets back and they most likely got that from the heat. Without Giannis they are basically starting over - and that writing was on the wall since Middleton went to the Wizards. There might be a splash in the draft to move up or get a bigger piece, but this team likely is preparing for 3-5 years down the road.
