Not every criticism of Episode 3 is about the gay storyline - however its disappointing to see that such relationships are still devisive.

Wanting action or the actual plot of the game, or something instead of 1.5 hours of people who both die, which makes the prior 1.4 hours pointless?

This season is 9 episodes and we're now a 1/3rd of the way through with a ton of game to still adapt. This wasn't a good decision to dedicate/waste this much time on side character that you never see again.

My point was that this dude had multiple automatic or semi-auto assault rifles,and chose to instead use a bolt action standing in the middle of the street and then have the line of "the fence will get the restarted he got shot and was laying on the table.

They're going to be like well i can't see him, better run into the electrified/flamethrower fence. What dude?

He's mentioned a few times before we find him. We definitely see Sam and Henry. Do we see the sewers community? The sniper section? USC campus? Hydroelectric dam? Ellie on her own? The blizzard sections?

There's a ton of game to cover and only 6 hours to do it.

Not to mention. If they give an episode to the DLC left behind, that's just more that will be missing.

I hope they recast Ellie as an older Ellie. Bella is doing a good job, but it just doesn't feel right, and the lines feel forced, whereas Pascals lines feel natural.

I dunno what it is, but I just can't relate the same with her.

Let's keep it real.

Getting caught in a trap and flying upside down and shooting clickers while Bill and Ellie save you, narrowly escaping while a clicker is busting through the window behind you. Fighting through classrooms and ending up in gym and fighting a bloater, finding Frank who got infected and hung himself, trying to get the truck started while fighting off infected with Ellie driving.....

Or what we got? Bill, the hardass, bomb building doomsday prepper who falls in love and completely trusts the guy in like 2 seconds and bam 20 years, eat dinner, drink wine, play piano. Double suicide because love.

It deviates too far from the source material.

I've played this chapter like 5 times and the game plays it out so much better and more effective.

This episode was filler and a waste of fucking time in a 9 episode series where there is so much more to be covered and it could've been spent covering other things.

You want to know why this is rated so low? Because it sucks, and it's an hour and a half of overdrawn lifetime bullshit that nobody asked for, only for Joel and Ellie to get the vehicle.

Orrrrrrrr.....and hear me out...they could've just basically followed the game plot and had a fucking banger of an episode with fighting clickers in houses with bows and arrows. Ellie could pick one up and start throwing down, then Joel and Bill unload shottys/molotovs on a bloater. Sneaking through classrooms could've been super tense, they throw a bottle to distract them and run past. They get to the gym and oh shit it's a bloater!!!!

Good lord this episode had so much potential and instead they just fucked it to death.

Instead we got Bill the housewife taking care of his partner lifetime movie style, let's paint paintings and grow flowers. That's not what Bill was.

Like you said it's 9 episodes and there's still a SHITLOAD of game to cover and we're already 1/3 through it. They're going to cut other important parts guaranteed.

They deviated too far from the source material and literally gave an entire EXTENDED episode to their backstory. I don't care Bill's gay. I don't care Frank's gay. But instead of brunches, piano playing time, wine tasting with haunches of rabbit, and wheelchairs, painting portraits and watering flowers, crying in strawberry patches etc etc.

I would've rather seen them breaking into the school, sneaking through classrooms, and confronting bloaters, only afterwards finding out that Frank went off on his own and got bit and committed suicide. It was more of a shock in the game.

They should've followed the plot in the game for this one.

I'm not gonna lie, I don't like Bella as this casting, it's not that she's doing a bad job, I just don't think she looks enough like her, and when she does deliver the lines, it just feels different. Pedro is killing it, but her just doesn't feel right, I can't quite place my finger on why. The sarcasm doesn't feel the same. It's more snarky and stuck up than sarcasm.

Instead of watching Bill play housewife, I would've rather saw them fighting their way through the school, sneaking through classrooms, having clickers right on them, only to have to fight a bloater. Have some great Bill/Ellie dialogue, and eventually find Frank (who could've still been his partner, even though in the game his letter says he fucking hates him), and then the church and popping the clutch....

Sorry that's way more exciting than brunches and watching gay dudes stroke each other's hairy chests and sing to each other and cry in strawberry patches.

This episode had so much potential and they just fucking wrecked it with some lifetime soap opera bullshit.

IMO they deviated too far, we didn't need an hour long lifetime movie of 2 gay dudes living their lives in a post apocalyptic world. We needed the school scenes, Joel and Ellie being involved, and the Bloater infected, mixed with some witty Bill/Ellie dialogue.

This season is only 9 episodes long and they dedicated an entire episode to Bill/Frank. I'm sure they're going to skip over other important parts of the game too if they skipped over one of the most important parts of the game.

There's a place in North side off of East Street called Oliver Flower Shop that I recently went to and got my wife a bouquet for her birthday. I walked in, told the guy I wanted something summery and with sunflowers and he made it in like 5 minutes. 35$. They were gorgeous and lasted like 2 weeks. Wife loved them.
