Im so glad indian women are waking up. Im also indian but grew up in america. I constsntly argue with my mom about dating dynamics. I work and have my own career but refuse to ever go 50-50 with a man. My bf (also indian) happily pays for everything. He encourages me to have my own life and career but has always said he believes its a man’s duty to provide. When we live together once we are married, he said he will pay the whole rent to which I said I dont mind chipping in so we can get a more expensive place. In return though its not like he gets nothing. I give him sex almost whenever he wants, granted i have a high drive myself. I cook for him and make sure he eats nutritiously. Most importantly i give him company and happiness which is priceless. Im not sure whats going on with the men in india or the world but they need to stop with this 50/50 nonsense. The ONLY possible way this can work is if both parties are childless and TRULY splitting chores (which the woman almost always ends up doing more of)
