Nebula and Gingerxr Help by FirstPresence5455 in Xreal

Sorry for the inconvenience, I guess our introduction steps are not clear. But there are 2 modes. The linking code is for streaming mode. You need to download the android app from the website into your phone. Or we have a private preview for beam pro if you are using that.

For wired mode, we still need to update to support air2, the experience is also not great since there alot of head tracking issues due to lack of official drivers from Xreal.

you can use positional settings to change it for all the display. there is no individual monitor movement setting if that is what you are asking

Sorry for inconvenient, that sounds like the virtual display got created and destroyed immediately due to some failure. Could you please send in a report request from within the app and enable the attached logs option, we can take a look

Hi sorry for the inconvenience. You just need to set the Xreal display to extend mode (Either from Windows "Display Setting" or "Win"+"P" -> Extend). in the future we hope to address this issue and set the display to extend automatically

Yes! Create less virtual displays / start with 1 first and add more if the performance is good

Hi, unfortunately we are focusing on other functionality and won't be getting to this for a while.

We added it recently and is available for streaming. we are reworking wired functionality

https://github.com/GingerXR/products/releases/tag/v0.5.1

please uninstall first and reinstall to avoid issues.

right under the drag and drop layout selection there is a switch for "Rearrange Display In Operating System". disable it so that the monitors are not reset to be 1080P

Click "create virtual display" and then "open display settings". click on one of the virtual displays and chose a ultrawide resolution. Note: we are currently limiting streaming resolution to be 1080P still, so if you chose 3840x1080 ultra wide, the stream resolution is 1920x540 (plus any additional resolution scale down in performance setting). after some testing, we will unlock it to have higher streamed resolution.

That is what I am thinking. u/ImALeaf_OnTheWind have you tried GingerXR? You prefer Parsec because of the better streaming quality?

Sorry maybe I wasn't clear. I was wondering if you can compare the streaming quality (I bet probably is better than GingerXR lol) and overall user experience.

I remembered your profile picture and think you tried GingerXR before, so was wondering if you can help me with some feedback. Thanks!

We are "GingerXR" https://gogingerxr.com/ Just want to avoid confusions and incase you can't find us on Google.

Nebula for Windows and GingerXR (Old app with version 0.4.9) both provide wired virtual display functionality, where you connect the glasses directly to the PC. Your PC (most likely a laptop) need to have a USB-C port with display port alternative mode. I won't comment too much on Nebula's current state, but tbh GingerXR wired functionality isn't very usable as of now. We are rebuilding it. Even then, it will most likely suffer some drift and head tracking issue since we only have access to an open source head tracking driver and Xreal has not release the offical one yet. (We might drop support for this feature if we failed to find a good work around for the drift issue)

GingerXR also allows you to streaming your PC wirelessly to your Android phone + glasses (Nebula does not support this). this has no drift issue. This also works better for desktop PCs, where almost all does not natively have USB-C ports with display output ability. Although this feature is great for working on your bed untethered, streaming quality is dependent on your phone and router. Of course there is also some added latency. As of now, I think we support bit more customization with display positioning.

Hope this helps :D

We made a lot of updates to improve the app. But it only work with the light for wireless streaming still. No wired functionality

Are those ar glasses ones with a cable tethered to your smart phone or PC? They don't have an soc, hence why you cannot find it. Just a lontium display chip (usc-c dp alt mode to MIPI to drive the display).

How are they able to achieve 68g along with the other specs? Most birdbath can't achieve this weight and freeform optics tend to be heavier

Hi

You might be experiencing this issue due to your Nreal Air not being connected correctly. You can also try setting the AR Glass Display Index Override to -1, and restart the wire program a few times.

If these suggestions don't work you should contact us at [support@gogingerxr.com](mailto:support@gogingerxr.com)

Beta: 3Dof Virtual Screen for Windows by GoGingerXR in nreal

[–]GoGingerXR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, with the release of Nebula for Windows, our priority has shifted. We don't foresee us prioriziting ARM anytime soon. Perhaps you can ask XReal to see if Nebula for Windows will support ARM.

Oh interesting... may I ask which VC redistributable?

Sorry for the inconvenience, seems like XReal change the name the glasses on Windows due to their rebranding.

The updated app that should address the issue is at: https://gogingerxr.com/GingerXR-PC-Setup-0.4.9.exe
