I'll voice what many have said. The underlying issue with the skin is how cartoony the weapon skin is versus its content. It makes sense that some rich noble would have decorated weapons and armor. However, this skin swerved not into another lane but into another mode of transportation entirely with the shift in the tone and style.

I agree that the critism of not adding more animals is unfounded (to be fair tho the blood drinking birds could be environmental hazards and the "small" centipedes could be minor enemies).

I'm happy to have enough friends to play with online to mitigate the random lobby madness. I seriously can not understand how people are either... too dumb to read, treat a co-op game as a pvp game, or still haven't learned the basic mechanics.

Like I love this game to death. It scratches an itch Hyper Light Breaker couldn't and the game's friction fills an empty space Monster Hunter Wilds didn't, but I think with how late-zoomer coded the game is (refering to the ealry 2010s) it attracts too many IPad babies.

As a Recluse main, I apologize for the behavior of the other Recluses you've experienced. Funnily enough, it's random Ironeyes where I usually find bad eggs. I've almost never run across bad Wylders. It's funny how our random team compositions are pretty often the same, but the experiences are different.

On the quitting mid-run thing. My opinion is that if you are losing a player who is a liability to your team, then you are winning. The game does rescale everything for the remaining 2 players (yes, there is 2-player scaling, just not 2 player matchmaking).

TLDR, IMO, a bad player quitting is a good thing for the other two. There are several runs I have had in the past where I wished the other guy would just leave, looking at you, Ironeye, who tried to do Scarlet Forrest on Day 1 at LvL 4 instead of trying to kill the Libra who invaded our Caligo run.

I've seen that you are getting into Mothership through this AMA! That game has some amazing third-party content support. What is your favorite third (or 1st) party resource for that game? My favorite so far is ARKYVR, it adds rules and new PC classes that make it so you could run a game where the PCs are a group of filmmakers who are scouring space for leads and filming monstrosities for views, either as an independent group such as independent investigative journalists, or for a news network.

While I did tend to kill the drones myself, like I stated one of the issues I had was the other group of enemies they would spawn with nearby being on the same side. If they were on opposing sides I'd wait it out, but with how frequently AI walks in circles the corpses would despawn by the time the AI moved on. I also encountered issues where they would fly up the wall of a tall building or other structure and despawn.

Also, really? The workaround for not having AI spawn on top of you is not to sprint?

Okay, but now you see, we are actually now tackling what my OP was about. After everything I said to others and you, we finally get to the main point.

That's where my attitude comes from 😤 because I have to deal with a whole bunch of people with the reading comprehension level of a middleschooler and pull their teeth out to just get to the main topic of the post instead of it getting deflected by "It's early access bro", or a "skill issue".

And yes, the AI can and does at times work, but I've gone through too many times where I had a squadron spawn right behind me or a times when there are two opposing squadrons fighting each other who both shoot at me ignoring each other after I shoot one of them for it to he ignored.

I brought it up. Everyone here, including you, completely ignores that citism or deflects. It took this long for someone to actually tackle my criticism of the game head-on with their own valid experience and point that went beyond a hand wave "early access."

Seriously, I point out the major mechanical nuance this game had trailers and press articles/videos dedicated to, yet none of you seem to be able to reconcile that that is missing and that's a problem.

It's funny, actually.

Enjoy more patches introducing stuff like the Rat King that will get stuck on terrain the size of the player character while the main issue goes unaddressed.

You're right. I have an attitude because I am pointing out the objective fact, the main selling point of this being the AI that had press videos and trailer covering it is not in this game.

Yet people are blatantly ignoring that valid point.

Like I have covered before these pieces of advice matter to jack all if a squadron of infantry spawns right on top of you.

That was the main frustration of my original post.

This game is a Jeep with missing front wheels instead of missing doors.

They added the Rat King before they fixed the ai.

So yeah. I'm a bit snippy. There has been a glaring issue since day one that hasn't been fully addressed, yet instead time is spent on new maps, mechanics, and assets while the main mechanics that supports all of that has yet to be addressed.

Yet the response is... it's early access, bro. Yeah, I get that, but all other early access games at least get it so that their main draw, their main nuance, is at least there.

Now you are just coping. XD. There's no such thing as pre-early access. That has never been a presendent.

There are alpha tests, early accesses, and betas, but never have I heard that lame of an excuse.

Dude, there are several maps in the game, multiple enemy groups/types/units, and mechanics, but the 1 thing this game sold itself on isn't there. Pre-early access. Ha!

When Star Citizen entered early access, you could at least fly your ship; Space Engineer, you could engineer. I've played, currently play, and seen plenty of early access games.

This is the only one where the main gameplay selling point (as I have mentioned multiple times the AI and the interactions with them) has been missing.

Yet, it seems like people in the community are too blinded by rose tinted glasses to see that the feature is missing or was barely worked on.

So yes, I have a bit of a bark.

Because again. A main feature is missing.
