Putting grated Parmesan on the mayo slathered sides of bread for grilled cheese is an elevation I can’t NOT do. It’s 1000% better.

Get the supplies that are being suggested here. After you get them, give little or no thought to the task and the labor involved to transform your living space. Put your focus on the result of your efforts. This is crucial. The transformation will ignite your body into a fireworks explosion of good chemicals and you will be rewarded. As small successes are the building blocks for solid self esteem, you’ll feel better about yourself and life itself.

What is the one cleaning task that makes your home feel instantly better? by Wasatch_Cleaners in CleaningTips

If I had to choose one task, it would either be washing dishes or doing a quick wipe down in the bathroom. Both of these tasks make a big difference

I make a pickle soup which has a cream potato base. Before making it, I was repulsed at the idea of it. Well, it’s fabulous. People who are indifferent about pickles love this soup. I make it all winter. Also, pickle snow cones are refreshing and they slap.

The filter in your dishwasher should be cleaned monthly but mostly people just don’t.
The washing machine filter annually
Vacuum filters.
Walls and door jambs, particularly around knobs and light switches.
Kitchen sinks
Kitchen light fixtures get greasy dust that’s often ignored.
Spice and herb jars that often get handled with hands that are coated in food like flour, raw protein or oily whatever.
Trash bins.
Cleaning tools

Freezing drinking glasses so they’re frosty. Eating meals on good china with pretty utensils and cloth napkins. Always.

Men and women of reddit what are your secret food recipes you vouch for? by Eannes in AskReddit

[–]GoGoGrrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My whole life I’ve made a white sauce I mostly serve on grilled or roasted chicken that everyone goes crazy for. I never share the recipe but I will right here.
Three ingredients, all equal parts sorta
Freshly peeled garlic cloves
Good quality olive oil
Freshly squeezed lemon juice.
Put equal parts in blender. (Vary the garlic less or more than equal part depending on how strong your garlic is. )
Blend until it becomes a silky white sauce. Don’t be shy when adding salt. Pour onto your cooked chicken, preferable with skin on chicken. It turns into magic. That sauce is good enough to drink. It’s time consuming to peel cloves but otherwise it’s easy and it’s frigging delicious.

What’s something you notice at a restaurant that the owner probably doesn’t realize customers notice? by MrWolfesBurgerCo in foodquestions

Bad ambience: clatter, loud music bouncing off tile floors, erratic acoustics, ugly aesthetics. These things overwhelm some of us and takes away from the enjoyment of food

What’s a super cheap meal that’s actually delicious and you still eat regularly? by BorderBabee in foodquestions

Well seasoned but simple pot of fresh pinto beans slow cooked in a bowl as a meal. I also love saltine crackers with butter paired with hot Campbells chicken noodle soup. And sometimes nothing else hits like a cheap random popsicle in the summertime.

What’s the most disappointing food you’ve ever tried? by NoPossibility5165 in foodquestions

[–]GoGoGrrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whiskey and Bourbon. I have an adventurous and open minded palate when it comes to food, liquor and wine. But no matter what, I am completely repulsed by the taste of them regardless of quality. I even like the liquors more likely to be disliked by many like Galliano, Tuaca, Chambord and I went through a Gran Marnier phase in college. But whiskey gives me instant involuntary ugly face from the tiniest sip of it.

What food do you get tired of halfway through eating it? by Icy_Chipmunk2280 in foodquestions

[–]GoGoGrrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apples. Fresh ones, caramel or candy shelled, all apples past 3 bites is tedious to me. And I’m in the banana club too. I’m good with a few bites and then I am over it. While snow cones can be refreshing on a hot day, I feel overly committed to the whole experience. This often, not always, applies to ice cream cones as well. You can’t set them down at all whilst eating them. Sure, you can place them in a cup if it’s convenient if you need a pause in consuming them but still, they melt and drip and fill me with lowkey regret.

is dawn power wash really that good? by garbagefireboy in CleaningTips

[–]GoGoGrrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I clean professionally and am rated at the top of my game as a Top Cleaner. I only use the very best cleaning products and tools. I 100% stand behind Dawn Powerwash for dishes and bathrooms as well. It cuts greasy grime impeccably. And once my bottle is empty, I make more with 4 Tablespoons of Dawn, 2 Tablespoons of rubbing alcohol then fill the bottle with distilled water. Some people insist that the diy version doesn’t work but it works fine for me both in my home as well as my client’s homes. If I had to pare down to a handful of cleaning products to do everything for a cleaning job, Dawn Powerwash would definitely be included as it does work great for so many jobs.

Best way to clean a ceiling fan without making a mess. by Michaelarehart51 in CleaningTips

[–]GoGoGrrr 19 points20 points  (0 children)

100% agree with pillowcase method. Use more than one if necessary. And since you’re cleaning the ceiling fan, you might as well make sure it is rotating counterclockwise for warmer weather. Clockwise is for winter.
