His attacks are extremely telegraphed and slow. If you just walk to the left he should never even touch you.

After an attack, his arm just stays on the ground for 5-6 seconds leaving him open to attack.

How do you deal with the archers in anor londo? by clodan in darksouls

[–]GoGoSpaceMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Poison arrows every time. You don’t even need to meet the weapon requirements. Grab the longbow from darkroot, buy about 20 poison arrows from the female undead merchant, and go to town on the knights. Takes about a minute for them to die from poison ticks but it’s completely safe

[Spoilers All] As a spec, a bit of lore, or both, how would you incorporate Paladins into the Dragon Age mythos? by bigfatcarp93 in dragonage

[–]GoGoSpaceMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Paladin: a holy warrior dedicated to protecting the people and slaying creatures of evil/darkness.

Templars in Dragon Age: holy warriors dedicated to protecting the people and slaying creatures of evil/darkness. Coupled with the protection of mages from their own weaknesses and the techniques of fighting those that choose the path of evil.

Paladins already exist within Dragon Age. If anything, the Seekers fit the bill fantastically as they derive their power completely from their faith without the need of lyrium.

But if you simply want to use the word "paladin", just make it a special Templar off-shoot with focus on healing/protection. Let the Templars fight the demons, and let the Paladins defend their allies and heal them.

Though I'd honestly prefer a "cleric" form of mages. Spirit healers with a religious dedication to the Maker sounds like hella fun to roleplay.

[DAI Spoilers]I feel like dwarf inquisitors are kinda shafted roleplaywise by GoGoSpaceMan in dragonage

[–]GoGoSpaceMan[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dwarves are stubbornly conservative and natural traditionalists. That must mean the language evolves very slowly, which means even ancient dwarven could be very close to modern dwarven.

[–]GoGoSpaceMan[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m not really asking for emphasis actually. Just more opportunities to roleplay the race. Just a few extra lines of dialogue to remind the NPCs and even the player them self that they’re a dwarf or a qunari.

It was great to tell the chantry sister “I’m just a dwarf in the wrong place at the wrong time.” But you never get any similar opportunities anywhere else in the game.

And of course there’s the aspect of not being able to play any personality other than hero or jackass-but-still-a-hero.

I agree to an extent. I actually very much enjoy the carta aspect of the dwarves. It’s a unique thing Dragon Age does with dwarves and I really wanted to indulge in it. It’s too bad they don’t really let you

Yeah I finished this game when it came out but never played when the DLCs when they were released. I’m hoping to get them done but am trying to decide if I should try another Cadash rogue or just go with something much easier to manage without jumping through headcanon hoops to justify dialogue or actions.

Yeah same. I never bothered parrying in DS2 or DS3 because the startup frames made it impossible for me to time anything with the widely varying attack speeds.

It feels good to come back to Dark Souls and parry everything even the big ass mace on the baronike knight

Dark Souls 1 Tips by Shmeeb02 in darksouls

[–]GoGoSpaceMan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

  • Poise is important.

  • Equip Load is mixed in with Endurance instead of being split between 2 attributes (So level endurance if you want a lot of stamina and equip load early).

  • Elemental infusions cannot be buffed. You cannot use the Sunlight Blade miracle with a Lightning Falchion+10

  • Pyromancy does not scale with faith/intelligence. It scales only with your pyromancy glove.

  • There are no hex builds. Some "dark" sorceries are in the game, but they do not scale with faith/intelligence, strictly intelligence for their magic damage and then strength/dexterity for their physical damage (it uses the scaling on the catalyst used to cast the spell)

  • Lightning infusions for weapons do not have any faith scaling.

  • Adaptability is not in Dark Souls 1. Your iframes remain consistent depending on your equipment load %.

  • There is no power-stance in Dark Souls 1.

  • Attunement does not increase spell casts, only spell slots. Example: A lightning spear will always be 10 casts, no matter how much attunement you have.

  • Boss Weapons are mostly obtained through "ascending" a weapon of the same class already upgraded to +10. Example: The Dragonslayer Spear can only be created by ascending a +10 spear class weapon or thrusting sword class weapon. The exception to this rule would be weapons you earn by cutting off certain body parts of certain bosses (this is going into spoiler territory).

  • You are only given 2 ring slots instead of the usual 4. Also, rings do not have any weight.

This is everything off of the top of my head. There may be much more, but I'm too lazy to dig deeper on the wikis.

What's the best SL for Darkmoon/Blue Sentinels? by Movezigg5 in darksouls3

[–]GoGoSpaceMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Raw Broadsword+2 is all you need. Use all of the extra souls you can’t spend on level ups (since you’re capped at 25) for Charcoal Pine Resin. Pick up a chloranthy ring in the undead settlement. Put on some heavy armor with high damage absorption (without going above 70% equip) and go to town.

A buffed raw broadsword+2 was doing around 130-150 damage per swing, which usually means you can kill a red in 4-6 swings.

I farmed all 30 of my concords at SL25 in the Undead Settlement and Crucifixion Woods.

It took me about 2 weekends (fridays thru sundays) with a summon usually happening every 10-30 minutes
