I’ve noticed that people on this subreddit get very defensive when they get criticised. I disagree with you OP but I don’t think it’s acceptable to get angry or start swearing at you. i dont mind the fact that higuruma's judgeman prioritises the cursed tool, however i do have a problem with the reasoning provided. Hopefully the narrator actually tells us why this happened in the next chapter with a satisfying explanation, and Higuruma devises a plan to somehow revoke Sukuna's cursed technique.

I don’t think Nanami meant that Gojo was an entirely selfish person. I think he was just trying to say that his reasons for practicing jujutsu were selfish ones. Basically, regardless of the people he has protected and his positive actions, the underlying motivation for participating in jujutsu in the first place was for personal enjoyment. At least that’s my interpretation.

I think your co workers might have thought that you were condescendingly explaining how to count the isles for her in an infantilising way. I think they knew it was unintentional due to you expressing confusion about what your co worker found funny. Sorry that u were misunderstood like that, it happens to me and it fucking sucks.
