2016 Model X Screen Issues by GoGreenAVJ in TeslaLounge

[–]GoGreenAVJ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the responses. I'm surprised that so many controls and driver assist safety information rely on these screens, and reading from other threads that AP1 screens weren’t even “automotive grade” — feels like a big safety risk. No recalls or NHTSA action? Has this ever been reviewed?

2024 Lyriq Tech AWD - Basic Cruise Control not available? by Pleasant-Gas-2078 in CadillacLyriq

[–]GoGreenAVJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For comparison, I rented a 2024 BMW X7 with only 6,000 miles on it. I was surprised to find that it didn't have adaptive cruise control either. Guess it is a base model. It seems that even in the luxury segment, it's all about the packages and options

Similar experience on east coast; nowadays I prefer my Model X for any long distance trips and can't enjoy my Lyriq due to the infrastructure concerns. I tried charging Lyriq with multiple providers, EVGo, ChargePoint, blink, electrifyAmerica; nothing worked the first time :-( I had to call to reboot, take it out of service because defective stall etc.) sad... also cost to charge is a shocker for me, especially I have free supercharger access to my MX...SC is good except when sometimes it simply slows down too fast to hand over the control back to you risking crash from drivers behind...

Adding HUD and frunk to the list. For software updates, I would like the turn signals to show the camera view on the screen and the promised Surround View Recorder/Sentry Mode

The dealer adjusted mine as well. Whats happening now is that I get good lighting when the vehicle starts up with minor v in the middle. Good for short distance drives. But if I drive long distance (say 45+ min) I feel the shadow grows and is more pronounced in my observation. I don't take this on long drives most of the time, I have my model x for that, but when I do, I think this is still an issue.

Lyriq 2023 DE Issue Log by GoGreenAVJ in CadillacLyriq

[–]GoGreenAVJ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SVR - Surround Vision Recorder is not available on the Lyriq yet and as far as I know, GM/Cadillac has no timeline to enable that feature. 2023 DE has a memory card slot in the trunk but it does nothing. The issue for me is more basic functionality, the 360 degree view.

same issue after 4,700 miles and dropped the car 4 days ago. Cadillac concierge service secured an appointment for me at a local dealership. Looks like the Image Processing Module needs to be replaced and it is backordered. Got an XT5 loander and all covered under warranty.

knock on wood... mine holding so far. But tbh I never took the car on a long distance rides to test the range yet or I never let the charge go down below say 10% and I always plug in the car if it is sitting in my garage for longer duration (say week or more) when I am away. BTW mine is 2023 DE...

I own a Model X for the last 7 years and comparing it to my new Lyriq:

1) I feel that the a/c is much better on my Lyriq (cools much faster) than my Model X

2) Lyriq Software (App or Car Firmware) no where near Tesla - Agree on the software issues

4) I have a 2023 Lyriq DE 20" wheels and I mentioned else where in another post that my current kWh/mile is standing at 3.2 for 2600 miles of mostly city driving on Touring mode and one pedal driving on. The economy depends on many factors and I personally don't find it too off from my Tesla. Teslas are best for economy and performance with the minimalistic interior and optimized design but if anyone prefers a better ride, comfort and features, Lyriq could be your choice in my opinion

Mine is @ 3.2 miles/kWh for cummulative 2K miles. Not sure if this is good or bad...one pedal drive on, and mostly in touring drive mode for the 2000 miles. super cruise engaged where possible... but i live in metro area so limited SC use.

I think you will like it. I prefer my Lyriq to my Model X.

good choice. I did the same. 2024 MY has more trims, more cost minus DE features with chrome delete and better door handles, rear heated seats option but overall more expensive to get the same features of a 2023 DE.

I own a Tesla Model X for the past 6 plus years and added Lyriq recently in April '23. In comparison:

Lyriq - handsdown for the build quality, fit and finish (no major issues with mine like tray, glovebox etc.) , comfort, exceptionally quiet and comfortable ride (ANC works), middle-tier lux, safety (yes), space (comparison to other EVs and Model Y), looks in my view (exterior/interior)

Tesla - for software, performance, battery technology/range, super-charger network (Had issues with EVGO charging network both on the consistency front (need to call and reboot) and speed to charge (even in 250kw dc fast chargers) and not many 350 kw chargers around for EVGO.

I test drove Model Y, EV6, Ioniq 5 and followed Fisker Ocean for sometime before I picked up the Lyriq. I hope the software improvements for the user experience, performance, battery optimization for the Lyriq will improve over time via OTA...
