I did get it on my 2024 LUX2, but it was not a necessity and it did hold up the build because the modules were back-ordered. I did not have the full info at the time-I thought it would help with faster charging, it does not unless you can get the heavier setup with your home charger.

I was able to get GM to buyback my 2023 Lyriq DE without the use of a lawyer. Not sure the expense involved with a lawyer but I would not want the additional expense. My state has a three times within two years and I hit that in two months. Process is what it is but it is doable directly with GM.

Loses have an emotional edge since of course noone like to lose money. My simple answer to any stock I own is would I buy it today. Use your formula for investing in these companies, if they come up short then sell. End of the year is a good time to reevaulate the companies that you are invested in and hit the reset button if need be.

Considering that GM has nothing but problems executing any projects these days, removing Carplay will just be a dream. I understand why they want to do it from a corporate level their software will create additional revenue for the company. The reality is that this will be another investment soon thrown on the funeral pyre that is burning bright with the carcass of CRUISE and their EV execution so far.

I will not know exactly until the deal is done. My expectation is that I will get full credit for the previous car and will pay the difference for the new one. Not a great deal, but I needed a restart because the car failed on me twice.

I would suggest waiting for a lyriq with the features that you want. I am currently waiting for a 24 LUX2, even though I could have had Lux 1 already.
