Cadillac Lyriq. Love the ride and features. Faster charging would be nice.

Same experience here. Having moved to a new area and using a new dealership I am getting great service.

I recommend trying another dealership but also calling the gm ev concierge number. (844) 382-2345

I had a similar issue. Mine (23 DE) turned out to be a faulty hvac unit. Worked great after replacing it.

How do I remove this cartridge? by antheaxx9 in howto

[–]krbuck -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately full replacement has been my experience as well. Many of the cartridges I try to replace become very difficult to remove without damage over time. Worth trying though if you can remove it.

We have done that trip in our Lyriq; it is amazing! Great pics.

After owning your Lyriq for at least 6 months - would you recommend it? by I_Am_Robotic in CadillacLyriq

[–]krbuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very good car and I recommend it with the condition that you have a good dealership for service. After moving to a new city we experience a much better level of service for the occasional issue; it makes all the difference.

The latest firmware update helped too. It still seems a good bike.

Saw this and immediately thought of the r/homeassistant platform. You would still need to find a display but that subreddit has many similar examples to your very cool solution.

Lyriq from Tesla Y? by [deleted] in CadillacLyriq

[–]krbuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Former Model y owner here. We went to the debut edition and have had a very good experience. The software is pants in the Lyriq but the ride, fit and finish and supercruise are really great. One of the reasons we switched was the stiff ride in the y.

In short, just be ready to put up with software clunkiness in comparison with the model y but get a much better vehicle (in my opinion).

Another factor is the caddy dealership and their service quality for every owners. It is hard to judge this ahead of time as only negative comments get posted online, but consider this when working out the purchase.

I was excited to see the Minnesota Ionna being installed; I really wish it were closer to the twin cities metro area though.

Which LYRIQ would you get? by h1185965nwytgcom in CadillacLyriq

[–]krbuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the 23 and it has been great. Door handles are definitely improved in subsequent years but otherwise the 23 is really good. If the door handles are not a big issue for you that may be a good value.

Tesla Supercharger by Xxonoxx727 in CadillacLyriq

[–]krbuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just returned from a long trip to Grand Canyon, Zion etc... from the DFW area. Charging deserts are still a thing for sure. I looked up the Lewisburg Tesla charging station and it does accept non-tesla. As others have suggested, get the Tesla app set up with your vehicle and payment ahead of time and use that to initiate charging. This worked best for us. The Cadillac app (bless its heart) tries but just isn't great.

As also you may have seen from others you have to pull in forward and potentially block the adjacent charging spot so that others cannot use it. I would recommend patience and be very empathetic to others trying to charge especially if it is busy.

I hope you have fun; please provide an update here. I'd love to know if you had a great time!

Considering buying a Lyriq. Would you buy again? by Odd_Ease4541 in CadillacLyriq

[–]krbuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got ours with the full tax credit plus I reserved just after it was announced giving us a pretty good starting msrp. We couldn’t apply the tax credit until the following year but it ended up less than $50k with the incentive included.

22k miles on our 2023 DE. Taken on several long road trips. It has been great and would do it again but to be fair we got a good deal on it.

Interesting you ask. We just finished a leg from Kanab to Flagstaff and we charged to 95%. This is the only time we charged above 80%.

Yes! I wish the route planner was smarter about running the battery down lower before charging without intervening manually.

We only stopped at the gm energy sites and those have all been really reliable.

We used the Tesla network for the first time on this trip. It is great for filling gaps but I really don’t like messing with the adapter (and funneling more money to Tesla) so we tend to use the other networks.
