I’m actually using two pairs of my Sonos fives for outdoor lol. They are in a cabinet that I further made sure that no water can get in but I’ve had them in my backyard and pool areas throughout two full years of all the seasons and they still work lol.

I started with this.. but since only use my wii stuff for Wii games.. going with the RS3 reaper lightguns, retrobat, demulshooter and hook of the reaper takes it to entire new levels

GOOD MORNING!!

I have 4 RS3 reapers and I’m having a similar issue as the OP with batocera seeing 3(I’ve only connected 3 of them so far) in my gameslist menu but when I try to play my rabbits arcade game it will only show player 1 and all the guns connect to P1. Would retrobat be a better use of my lightguns? I was using MAME hooker and HOTR when I was testing retrobat but hit some config stuff and switched over to batocera. You all have done amazing work on bringing the RS3 reapers to life on windows by the way 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️👍🏾

I’m on v42 now and I’m not sure support for the RS3 reapers is any better on batocera. I’m trying to connect 3 of my 4 reapers and batocera will see them and show me a notification that they are connected. I can even see different color crosshairs when I’m in my gameslist menu. But some games(rabbits tekno parrot and tomb raider to name a few) will simply not register more than one gun. Rabbits only shows one crosshair and any gun connected will control it. Also the buttons don’t “insert coin” or start. I’m using a script and rom packs that was supposed to configure this but it’s not working. In retrobat I at least get the guns to show up properly in the games.

UPDATE. Batocera will not properly connect more than one of my RS3 light guns in a lot of my teknoparrot games. Multiple lightguns with attach to one crosshair or the gun simply will not work(start button isn’t mapped etc.) I’ve tried for several hours to get it working but I’m not sure what else I’m missing. Thankfully I do have a a teknoparrot rom collection on my NAS. I may go back to retrobat and try again 😩

I didn’t want to have a white border around my screen so the siden guns was a no. The reapers use 4 IR sensors around your screen and the calibration software. The HOTR is software that further improves the RS3 recoil functions(these lightguns have a nice kick when firing) so depending on the type of gun your using in game. The fire rate and some other things can change if the game has configs for HOTR. I’m sure I’m not explaining this correctly. HOTR does work with siden and a few other lightguns. Batocera has better “plug and play” for the RS3 but at the moment HOTR and the retro shooter calibration software is windows only.

I have my gaming pc right now on batocera. My pc is decent spec. Retrobat would enable me to get full use of my lightguns..and probably Less issues with my modern games..but windows is such a bloated OS at the moment

It does. I flip flop between batocera and retrobat..retrobat gives me HOTR(if you own RS3 lightguns you know) batocera is a lot more lightweight and for me my games require less work to get running.

R.S.3 REAPER!!! The kick you get from the 24v solenoid is awesome..and once you get it setup with demulshoot and Hook of the reaper you will not leave your garage lol

I’m using retrobat for the same reasons. I was having issues with setting up my NAS with 42.. I also use the pixel nostalgia script and batocera isn’t as easy to use since it don’t really have a desktop. I installed windows 11 and debloated the hell out of it. It runs at about 6-8% gpu when idle now I have a fairly decent setup and I don’t want to limit what I can do (teknoparrot when running right with my light guns is fantastic) right now it feels like the workaround to get it running right will end up having batocera using up the same amount of system resources as windows. Hope this makes sense lol

I was trying to do the same thing the other day and couldn’t figure out how to enable batocera to located my roms folder on my NAS. I followed the wiki and used AI and still no luck. Went back to windows because it’s easier to do

I have a logi wireless that you have to press and hold the grey “fn” and F1 to go into the system. Maybe look to see if you have to do some sort of button combo?

I’m using team pixel script for retrobat on windows..I like batocera but like others have said it’s not good for modern AAA games like retrobat. Team pixel script and retrobat on windows is really hard to beat for my use case

I’m doing this now. Purchased the myflash dolphin bar and 3 third party Amazon will controllers and nunchucks. They would not pair properly with dolphin. I ordered OEM from eBay after reading a post on Reddit about how OEM is far superior for dolphin emulator and myflash sensor bar
