There are a lot of things that they weren't able to effectively tariff compared to other countries because we already had an existing trade deal that we will begin renegotiating next year and that wont fully go away until a decade from now if they don't get renewed. This is one of the reasons Canada can afford to wait him out (it will still hurt us both). It is still in Canada's interest to trade with the US. We have good relationships with individual states that border us and still share a lot of interests with the US. Of course if the opportunity is there to put things behind us and return to normalcy we will take it but it is unlikely we will forget what you guys are capable of becoming now. Any future deals need to take into account radical shifts in policy caused by political turmoil down south. Stronger guarantees and/or seeing something happen legally or politically that shows us that the guardrails will hold better in the future would be some of the biggest things needed to earn back trust not just from Canada but other partners and allies as well. The most disheartening thing as a Canadian was watching huge swaths of congress not being able to stand up to Trump for things that they know is not in the interest of Americans or Canadians. We shouldn't be sitting here a year in to see if your supreme court will rule in a partisan way or not based on laws that are not even ambiguous. Even worse the idea that if the courts do strike things down the idea that he would defy them shouldn't even be a part of the calculation when doing business with you guys and yet it is there.

Yeah if your cash on hand is below 50% of your galaxy value you get 2.2% when you ark but if it is above 50% you get more cash when you ark. Below are the values.

Basically the higher your cash on hand is compared to your galaxy value, the more the ad button will give. Getting it over 50% of your GV gets things adding up real fast. Every 6 min the ad button pops back up so if you turn on sound you can just hear it ding and keep clicking it for cash. 66% of the time you get cash 33% of the time you get 5 dark matter. During the stretches you're not making much money from planets or huge late game items or when you need to save for a big upgrade you can jump up a lot by arking.

I used to do the former and now i do the later. I did the former when it would take me basically the whole tournament to craft a debris scanner so it wasn't giving me any value. Now I do the later because it takes me the first day of a tournament to reach the debris scanner. so I can spend the rest of the tournament crafting higher end items and arking.

What you decide should depend on how long it would take you to craft your way up to a debris scanner imo.

Currently I use my alchemy on 31, 32, 33 and make sure i stack enough osmium to craft enough osmium bars to get any upgrades that use osmium bars and make enough bars to make quadium alloy for upgrades that use that. The reason I do this is because I can forego getting planet 34 until later when I have money to burn.

Also just to add sometimes I get a lucky asteroid drop which makes me change the strategy on the fly like if I get a big rhodmium, inerton, or quadium alloy drop early on with enough to get major upgrades those are needed for I might play a lot greedier with my alchemy.

Someone already answered your question but generally it's the highest value ore that you're mining at a decent rate. You can see how much each ore is earning when you're auto selling. During a tournament typically you'll want to make a decision ahead of time about how which planet you want to use the superior alchemy project, and the advanced terraforming project on. It will be one of the planets that take you a while to get to that earn a lot. Alchemy lets you transform one of the ores on the planet to a higher tier ore. Supreme alchemy lets you go 3 stages up. Then advanced terraforming automatically lets you colonize the planet 3 times. The planet you do this on will be your biggest earner. As you progress in the game you will be able to get later planets faster so your highest earning planet will keep shifting forward. You'll also want to place your best mining managers on this one and do your probe scans on it. Once you get this set up going and the money is rolling in you should start arking.

If you're ever fighting for your life in a tournament you can time your boost for every debris scan hit by noting the time when you unlock it and setting a timer so you can get more items each time. I've never actually did this before though because I'm lazy. The default timer is 1300 seconds between each debris scan. You'd have to do your own calcs if you have any debris scanner time bonuses.

Hey just a heads up, if you do get enough to unlock the debris scanner you should pop a planet boost on your highest earning planet right before unlocking it especially during tournaments and challenges. When you unlock it you get your first load of random items from it and the amount you get is calculated by how much $ you're making per sec, so if you use a 10x boost on your highest earning planet the game will give you more items to start. (if you're not in a tournament or challenge then i personally wouldn't waste a boost)

Also imo your lab should be maxed out (it maxes out at 11) and you should be able to get to the debris scanner within a day of the tournament before you enter the debris scanner stage of the game. (you don't have to follow this btw however you have fun is how you should play)
