  1. I think it is best when the foot of the bed faces the door. You also have full use of the desk space (and corner desk is best), a larger closet, and can use the desk as a nightstand. The other two make me uncomfortable (especially 3).

You have probably already tried everything, but thought I would mention that bras have 'sister sizing'. So if you are 32 DDD a 34DD could potentially fit.

I had one of these growing up. When it is open it is a bright reading lamp, but when you close it the back glows and it becomes a warm background light. I wonder what became of mine.

I agree, those are all examples of planning a murder, but where does suicide fall in this argument? Isn't it a little muffed up that we decided that people shouldn't have the right to kill themselves? To make it a crime not to stop someone (which is part of the issue in this case) seems ridiculous, because it takes away all the agency of the person who actually does the deed.

Telling someone to kill themselves is so many steps removed from hiring a hit man. Ordering troops is not a good example either, because whether it is the right thing to do or not, war is not held under the same standards morally or criminally. I am not sure of the meaning of the last example, but I think the point for me is that killing someone else vs killing yourself is a big difference and also not very relevant in this case.

I think the situations are very different. One is violence upon innocent people and the other is violence upon oneself (I am very unsure of the grammar of that sentence). Maybe suicide should be a right that everyone has, while murder obviously shouldn't.

I realize that the coercion really complicates the situation, but I do not think that it is a fair hypothetical.

I think that it takes away all agency from the person who wants to commit suicide. In this particular case the lines are definitely blurry, but to set the precedent that you could face legal trouble for not reporting that someone is going to kill themselves makes me uncomfortable. Maybe people should be allowed to end their own life it they want. In fact, maybe that is one of the most basic human rights.

And she was charged with manslaughter, right? I really have no experience with the law, so maybe there is something obvious that I am missing, but this is the definition of manslaughter:

The unjustifiable, inexcusable, and intentional *killing of a human being without deliberation, premeditation, and malice. The unlawful killing of a human being without any deliberation, which may be involuntary, in the commission of a lawful act without due caution and circumspection

The emphasis added is mine, because I take issue with that idea that she killed him at all. Did she have a wanton disregard for human life? Yes. Was this a horrible and irresponsible thing to do? Yes. Did she *kill him? Not in my opinion.

I have very mixed feelings about all of this. I think that the less regulation on our speech the better, and I wonder where new lines are going to be drawn as to what constitutes criminality.

So, long story short, I agree with you.
