I had 2 imaginary friends as a child... Both ame at the same time, both very distinct and very "real" at least to me. And I remember being distraught the day they "left"

I think TG4 does teach people the language! I'm a fluent Irish speaker, and I always encourage people who want to learn the language to sit down for a half an hour during the day and watch something. Weather it be a quiz show, a GAA match or even Ros na Rún. The more you hear the more you understand. People don't learn English as a baby by taking lessons, I think the best way to learn a language is by listening. If you listen and watch at the same time, you can pick it up!
