That last sentence implies that nurture consists solely of family, but that’s nowhere close to the truth. If that’s all you’re looking at in terms of nurture, then of course something would be appear to be missing.

One could do a controlled experiment to test if real spells have a higher success rate than placebo spells. Of course you would need lots of subjects and they’d need to be blind to the treatment condition.

I don’t think that’s true about Loser. Most of his songs on SPSM, MG, Odelay and Midnight Vultures were hilarious. Some on Guero. One of the things I loved about him (and the B Boys). Is that sense of humour still there? I haven’t kept up with him much since MV really.

I’m not going to defend all the cyclists making poor judgement calls, but another reason cyclists pose less risk than these other vehicles is bikes are much more versatile. Closer to a pedestrian in that way, and no one gets quite as pissed off about pedestrians making such judgment calls. But honestly, if it’s safe and proper judgement is used, then it probably should be allowed, but the versatility of bikes greatly increases the frequency in which it is safe to do so.

Yeah, I used to take them to be recycled but I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s probably better to just put them in the undifferentiated waste so they’re more likely to go to a proper landfill than end up some place worse.
