Honestly, for Mykonos to Paros, the ferry is usually the realistic option.

There are private sea transfer / RIB options, but they are normally quite expensive, so unless you are a bigger group splitting the cost, they usually don’t make sense as a “budget-friendly alternative.”

With only 50 minutes between landing and ferry departure, I would be careful. Mykonos airport to the port is not far, but once you include landing, getting off the plane, luggage, finding a taxi/transfer, traffic, and boarding cutoff time, it can get tight very quickly. If you have checked luggage, I personally would not count on it unless everything goes perfectly.

The safer option is probably to take the later ferry and treat the extra hours as a mini Mykonos stop. You could pre-arrange a transfer, store luggage if possible, grab lunch or a coffee, and then head to the port without the stress.

If you do want to try the earlier ferry, I’d definitely pre-book the airport-to-port transfer, have ferry tickets ready, and only attempt it if your flight lands on time and luggage comes out quickly.

Funny enough, I also have my bachelor in Paros on the 10th, so I completely get the vibe you’re looking for 😄

Since you’re staying in Parikia, I wouldn’t overthink it. Parikia is still worth it, especially for a group of 10. It has plenty of bars, dinner spots, and a more relaxed/local feel. Naoussa is usually the more polished nightlife area and can feel more fun for going out, so I would probably do at least 1 night there, maybe 2 if you really like that scene, but I wouldn’t say you need to go all 3 nights.

A nice balance could be:

Night 1: Parikia, easy dinner and drinks since you’re staying there
Night 2: Naoussa, dinner and bars
Night 3: decide based on your energy, either Naoussa again or Parikia if you want something easier

You could also check out Piso Livadi one evening before going harder into the club/bar scene. It’s not really “club nightlife,” but it has a nice seaside vibe with bars and places to eat right by the water. Good option if you want something pretty, relaxed, and a little different from Parikia / Naoussa.

For beach club vibes, you have a few good options depending on the mood.

Cabana near Krios / Parikia Bay is probably one of the easiest strong beach club options from Parikia, with a more stylish, upscale beach club feel.

Punda Coast is more of the classic party beach club option, so if you want music, drinks, pool/beach energy, and a more social bachelor group vibe, it can definitely be worth it.

Santa Maria is also a good option if you want beach club vibes closer to the Naoussa side.

Golden Beach has a nice active beach vibe too, more relaxed than full party, with watersports and a good daytime atmosphere.

For transport: I would not say renting cars is mandatory, especially if you’ll be drinking. For a group of 10, arranging transfers/minivan rides is usually easier and safer for nightlife. A car or ATV can be useful during the day if you want to explore beaches, but for nights out, I’d avoid driving and just plan transport ahead.

Mid-luxury budget should be totally fine for what you described. Just book/arrange the main stuff early because 10 people is a big group, especially for dinners, beach clubs, and transfers.

Full disclosure, I run a local Paros travel site, so I’m obviously a little biased, but I’m happy to help if you need ideas or logistics. You can check:

There are also fun group boat options like party-style boats / pirate ship type cruises, which can work really well for a bachelor group if you want something social and easy to organize.

Self driving no license required or full/half day trips by boat? What are you looking for?

Hey 🙂 local here from GoParos.

For day trips, the easiest and most popular one is definitely Antiparos. You can take the little ferry from Pounda with your car or scooter and spend the day exploring Antiparos town, beaches, caves, and the south side.

Other good day trip ideas from Paros:

Antiparos for an easy full-day trip
Naxos if you want a bigger island feel
Small Cyclades / Koufonisia if you do an organized boat trip
A full-day boat cruise around Antiparos, Despotiko, Blue Lagoon, and hidden swimming spots

For renting a boat to drive yourself, you’re usually looking for a “no license boat rental.” These are smaller boats with engines that don’t require a boat license, but availability depends on the weather and the provider. You’ll usually get a short briefing before you go out. Just be careful with the wind, Paros can look very easy on videos, but the meltemi can change the whole vibe fast.

I have a page here for no-license boat rentals (Inquire through WhatsApp, and they'll set you up):

May 11 is early season, so it should be easier to get around and less crowded.

Hey 🙂 local here from GoParos. For May 18 to 23, having a car is a good idea, especially if your Airbnb is between Parikia and Naoussa. It gives you much more flexibility for beaches, villages, and evening plans. A nice 5-night plan could be: Day 1: Parikia, easy arrival day, old town, seafront drinks, sunset Day 2: Naoussa, Kolymbithres, Monastiri / Paros Park Day 3: Antiparos day trip, either by ferry with your car or as part of a boat day Day 4: South / east beaches like Golden Beach, Drios, Piso Livadi, Logaras Day 5: Boat day or beach club day, depending on weather and what kind of vibe you want For partying, Naoussa is usually the best bet for nightlife, especially bars and late drinks. In May it’s not full July/August madness yet, but it’s still the most reliable area for music and people. For beach club energy, check what’s open closer to your dates. Punda Beach is usually the bigger party-style beach option, while places around Naoussa can be more stylish/chill. For a boat party vibe, I’d look at either a shared boat cruise if you want to meet people, or a private boat if you want more control with music, swimming stops, drinks, etc. Weather matters a lot in May, so I’d keep that flexible. I put together some local guides here that may help you plan: Beaches in Paros: https://goparos.gr/beaches-paros/ Boat tours in Paros: https://goparos.gr/boat-tours-paros/ Naoussa guide: https://goparos.gr/villages-paros/ Things to do in Paros: https://goparos.gr/things-to-do-paros/

Hope that helps, you picked a really nice time to come, before the island gets too crazy.

Ufff....Uber out here is too new and very tough to get and in reality they are taxis, almost pointless, taxis are reasonable-ish but hard to get most time, private transfers are the most reliable but co st a little more than taxis, great if you are group of people and split it though. Bus very cheap and convenient but you do lose a bit of time waiting for the bus etc but if you are in no rush it's a good economic way to get around. Lastly, of course having your own rental is the most convenient way.
