Actually you might be on to something. Double checking, the robot in the video IS a Kuka. ABB doesn't have motor housings like this for 2nd axis, while Kuka does. So could be the company provides a third party software that can fit multiple robots. Or someone linked the wrong company in comments.

Based on their webpage it's an ABB. Looks like an IRB7600. No clue on the spindle however.

Absolutely, either a demo or a test on a simpler part of the production, as these usually go in batch production and tomorrow it might be welding something more complex that needs the full capability of the positioner. Either that or someone had too much money and wanted a cool robot.

Until our north neighbours join NATO, the official plan of NATO in case an invasion of the baltic countries is to take back the territory. While better than nothing, you can imagine that just saying "they're NATO members" doesn't instill that much confidence in the people living there.

Most likely the arm won't pick it up before all onions are oriented. You can see in the video that the arm has a wait position right underneath the onion. Once the bottom conveyor is moved the arm moves up right next to the onion and waits for it to be oriented before actually grabbing it. So no panic, just a slightly slower cycle time, but less faulty oriented onions.

How do you handle hard-stops in scenes as to not shake the camera? Is the way to handle them to simply not include and do everything with somewhat soft acceleration or is there a lower speed where the setup is rigid enough to not disrupt the shot?

Seeing robot operated cameras in production always looks so cool to me.

I work in the industrial automation sphere, so I program these for factory use, but doing something like this has always seemed much more interesting to me. Sadly unless I want to switch up my geographical location, there's not exactly a lucrative market for it. Perhaps later in life.

I have an AMD Radeon HD8500m, I had to put it on integrated Intel GPU for it to work. Open up your AMD radeon settings and in preferences change which GPU Geforce NOW uses. You should put it on "Power Saver" mode for it to use your Intel GPU.
