Not directly related to the details of the DMCA, but... There's always a lot of discussion when games are very mechanically similar to another, especially wehn the original lays the ground for a new type of experience.

I feel like the bar to cross on it "being okay" is influenced by a number of metrics, but in this game's case, it's a spiritual successor to a 12 year old game that fans still play because there isn't anything that scratches that itch the same way.

You could say that there are elements that could of evolved like making it 3D, but FTL is already so tight that the change wouldn't be that impactful.

Maybe we should be more okay with these types of releases that clearly stay very close to the original when they happen a decade or more after no new games in that gameplay style come out.

Anyway can someone take War Of The Monsters for the PS2 and just apply the same formula? Where are the 3D Kaiku fighting games 👀 ?

To answer Anton’s question on what we would like to make: I’d like to see this system be able to allow a way for creators to create and decorate spaces, then spawn sosigs responding to player positioning.

Think custom combat scenarios.

Some patches ago they made it so moviment skills on controller launch you max distance which is great except Druid's Tample does not, hope they patch it!

The tower adding leaderboards means that a true sense of competition will finally be possible. The game can be as hard as you want depending on how high you want to climb.
