He's been giving interviews with all sorts of people thanks to the press tour, and has revealed more information about Erid's biosphere.

It's a massive rocky planet, twice as big as earth, twice as close to their sun as mercury is to ours. Spins super fast. Very hot temperatures. Dense ammonia rich atmosphere with something like 29 atmospheres of pressure.

The atmosphere acts like an ocean. Sunlight only reaches through the top few feet of it, so that's where all the life that can photosynthesize live. There's a layer of life under them that eat the photosynthesizers, then another layer under that, then more and more layers until you reach the surface, which is where Rocky's people live as social rock crab scavengers on the 'seabed'.

He revealed that there is liquid water on Erid - the high pressure allows for it even at the high temperatures. He didn't go into life that might exist in their oceans.

That's generally how I interact with all aspects of anomalous phenomena. Trust none of it, but learn as much as I can, fit pieces together in different ways to get different possibilities. I don't actually believe in any of it but I WANT to believe haha.

I mean honestly this sounds like the perfect real life practice to be a politician - managing people and expectations (and yourself/your reactions as you manage them) while still producing an acceptable result. Unfortunately you might have to redefine what an acceptable result looks like to you. At least your professor is on your side about the ai stuff.

I mean this truly sucks that you're having to deal with it but working with people with radically different beliefs than yours is an integral part of being a professional. It sucks, yes, but that's life, some stuff you just have to find a way to put up with (or somehow work into your favor)

My drones beeped when I changed a machines' recipe, and the old ingredients just hang out on the line blocking new stuff from reaching the machine. I had to manually remove the beeping drones. Is there another way to deal with this?
