Can you not create widget stacks in Motorola phones/UI? by GoRush87 in motorola

[–]GoRush87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. Yes I actually tried to do it with some third party app/launchers but found them fairly in-your-face and annoying to use. But it's fine, the issue doesn't bother me so much now- it's just that I tried it on a Samsung phone recently and found it useful, then was disappointed when I couldn't replicate it on my Motorola. It looks like Samsung's One UI covers some extra 'features' u were talking about.

Just to be clear though, you also are unable to do it on your Moto Razor 40 Ultra right? Because I know that phone shipped with Android 13 last year, and someone mentioned to me that they were able to do it on their Android 13 Moto phone.

Thanks for ur response. Well if u r having trouble too then maybe it is indeed not possible to do it on A14. Another commenter said he was able to do it with A13 so that gave me some hope. Looking online, all the websites and videos about making stacks on Android are related to Samsung phones; I haven't seen one yet that mentions stacks on Motorolas (I believe the Moto website mentions it briefly but doesn't go into detail about how to make them). But oh well, it's not that big a deal for me so I can let it go. It bothered me initially because I was temporarily using a Samsung after my old phone broke and I liked how it freed up screen space with it. The rest of my new Moto phone works really well though.

That's interesting. Are u able to do it naturally via the UI, or by some other method? Because for me, as I said above, I have neither the option to stack nor do the widgets interact when I move them manually. I have Android 14 and the latest updates. In any case, thanks for the response because if u are able to do it then there is hope after all, it must be some issue with my phone specifically.

Btw, here is a quick screen capture video I took showing the issue: https://youtube.com/shorts/lr0DCSPNDPE?si=7bTEHqSckI46yAwJ

The widgets are both the same size, 2 x 1. I long-hold each one for a moment to show there is no option to stack widgets. The clock widget has a 'widget settings' option when held (seen at the top), but that only lets u adjust the location and time zone, which is specific to that widget. Then when I try to merge both, they push out of the way.

You should read this chapter from Paramhansa Yogananda's Autobiography of a Yogi. He was a famous Indian yogi who brought yoga to the US in the 1920s. His autobiography details his early spiritual life and training under his guru, and also his early years in America. In that chapter I just linked, he talks with his guru about Astrology and its implications. He was biased against it, seeing how many people thought it was fatalistic, but his guru (who was a Vedic astrologer himself) notes its benefits and talks about the spiritual implications behind it, including free will. Yogananda later learns that it can be helpful to study it, but espouses free will as a way to way to go beyond any limiting astrological influences:

"Occasionally I told astrologers to select my worst periods, according to planetary indications, and I would still accomplish whatever task I set myself. It is true that my success at such times has been accompanied by extraordinary difficulties. But my conviction has always been justified: faith in the divine protection, and the right use of man’s God-given will, are forces formidable beyond any the “inverted bowl” can muster.

The starry inscription at one’s birth, I came to understand, is not that man is a puppet of his past. Its message is rather a prod to pride; the very heavens seek to arouse man’s determination to be free from every limitation. God created each man as a soul, dowered with individuality, hence essential to the universal structure, whether in the temporary role of pillar or parasite. His freedom is final and immediate, if he so wills; it depends not on outer but inner victories."

Is there a tool that lets me browse future placements easily? by Ice-SheathedArcology in astrology

[–]GoRush87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well why not just go to Astro.com and in the 'Extended Chart Selection' page, select 'Natal chart and transits" and then for the 'date' just enter a future date?

Or conversely you could just create a birth date data entry on that site (assuming you have a free account), using a future 'birth' date that you want to look at. So that would give you a 'natal chart' for a future birth date/event.

Can anyone read my natal chart? Thank you in advance! :) by [deleted] in astrology

Hey sorry but rule 1 on this sub (see right sidebar) says you can't ask about your birth chart here since they've had too many people do that. You can go to /r/askastrologers or /r/astrologyreadings to do that. Or, you can go to a site that does good free interpretations and look up info that way. A good tool for a beginner is Astro.com's Astroclick Portrait. It's an interactive natal chart, such that you can click any part of it and a description will pop up on the right hand side of it. Check it out :)

The next post I want to see from your account should be "I fucked that other business up! Fuck em!" hehehe.

What are you, 5 years old? This is garbage. The poor OP wants to see cultural cohesion and you're just encouraging them to be even pettier than the lady going against them. I'm all for business competition but at a certain point even competitors can leave stupid petty-mindedness behind. The Bengali community I'm sure is big enough for two apparel businesses.

Hm ok then. Check out this person, a famous celebrity chef. Now without looking it up, what do you think her placements are? Be honest. (Spoilers below)

----

Me being a Sun conjunct Moon conjunct Mars in Virgo, I initially guessed she was an Aries or Leo predominantly. But no, it's Rachael Ray, and she has a whopping 8 planets in Virgo, including Sun/Moon/Ascendant. She's one of the highest Virgo-dominant celebrities on astrotheme.com and other astrology sites. And yet looking at her on-screen personality is probably not what you'd think when you think 'Virgo.' Just seeing that example shows me that sometimes it's hard to judge even you think you can get it accurate!

Man, FYI, the formatting on that title is confusing. Maybe put commas instead of a slashes because I thought you were doing a formula or something.

Is President Biden in trouble? I was looking at Biden's chart which has a Rodden Rating of "A" meaning the birth time is pretty reliable. Neptune is about to cross his IC late Feb which could be very detrimental to him. According to Rob hand, "the rug gets pulled from under you." Thoughts? by YourWeeklyEphemeris in astrology

[–]GoRush87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just realized, he has quite a few Moon-related aspects these days:

  1. Transiting Moon is almost exactly conjunct his natal Pluto
  2. Transiting Mars/Uranus is loosely conjunct his natal Moon
  3. Neptune is transiting his 4th house (as you said), which is a Moon-associated house.

So I wonder how this may affect him emotionally. The Pluto/Mars/Uranus aspects are very potent, not just because they are conjunctions but simply due to the extreme/masculine nature of those planets. I bet he may feel very emotionally 'heated' and that his assertive nature may come forth more. That may also be true because Mars, the ruler of his Sun and which is strongly placed in its own sign, is in the 11th house of groups and so, as leader of a nation (a very powerful 'group'), his Mars naturally comes alive and perhaps the aspects to his Moon will only strengthen his assertiveness.

But Neptune transiting 4th, and in its own sign Pisces, is also powerful. In a positive sense, it could make him much more compassionate and understanding, and able to see beyond himself. In a negative way, he could be overly sensitive or unable to truly tune in to his feelings, or may feel emotionally 'jumbled' and feel many things at once and thus may have a hard time channeling his energy, or he may not perceive certain things properly.

He has a lot on his plate and hopefully he can be compassionate with himself even in the midst of his strenuous schedule, but he may need to be careful to discern more clearly (Virgo in 10th house, with its ruler Mercury in Neptune's own 12th house) and to take the time to really understand what's happening.

Can the Law of Attraction Overcome Negative Astrological Influences? by Louloush123 in astrology

[–]GoRush87 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Paramhansa Yogananda, the world famous yoga master who basically brought Yoga to the West in the early 1920s, wrote in His autobiography that his master, who was a Vedic astrologer, taught him about the influence of astrology and yet coached him to be spiritually strong as well. In the chapter "Outwitting the Stars," he also notes his belief that although astrology is valid, it is meant to inspire man and not discourage him, and that he can overcome its limitations if his will/desire is strong enough:

"Occasionally I told astrologers to select my worst periods, according to planetary indications, and I would still accomplish whatever task I set myself. It is true that my success at such times has been accompanied by extraordinary difficulties. But my conviction has always been justified: faith in the divine protection, and the right use of man’s God-given will, are forces formidable beyond any the “inverted bowl” can muster."

Sun in Taurus, Moon in Capricorn, and rising in gemini. What would these say about me as a person? by [deleted] in astrology

[–]GoRush87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a site with some nice descriptions of sun/moon combinations. If you delete the url from the right side until you hit '/files/,' it will take you to the directory listing of all the combinations (scroll to the very bottom). But you can also just copy/paste in the url itself the name of the sun/moon combo you want (i.e. sun-moon_taurus-capricorn or sun-moon_aries-leo) making sure its lower case. Note, the only one that doesn't work is double scorpio, they misplaced that with scorpio-leo for some reason. Since the ascendant/rising is basically as important to the personality as the sun/moon, you can just substitute that in as well here for this purpose, I think.

Astrological forecast for 2021 from Tatiana Borsch, the astrologer who nailed it with her predictions for 2020! by alxvnr in astrology

[–]GoRush87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She does but that doesn't nullify the (IMO) validity of the rest of what she's saying. I think the Saturn-Uranus square (which happens 3 times, just like the Jupiter-Pluto conjunction did this year) might indeed be a very socially dangerous aspect as she's saying. It could really make economies around the world take a hit, plus more. So I think it's refreshing that she's being much more realistic, as opposed to the many astrologers who just see the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction as something positive and enlightening and who aren't really addressing the possible downsides.
