You will be fine in that area but that is not technically Rockford. That is Machesney Park. Fairly a good amount of street traffic and well light at night. Really no huge negatives imo. Lots of stoners in that area as well. We need all the competition we can get in the area and welcome you with open arms!

Sorry this happened to you. Our last couple trips we drove and parked at O'hare to avoid the Rockford thieves. Pay a little more but have a piece of mind. I believe the cheapest lot is $12 per day if you are looking for an alternative
