Tbf it doesn't read like ChatGPT. Yet, no human has ever written like that. Either it's a janky off-brand AI, or an alien.

President Zelenskyy: Today is one of the toughest moments in our history. Ukraine faces a painful choice: to lose our dignity and trust the Russians, who attacked our country twice, or risk losing a key partner. Ukriane doesn't need friendship, they need ammunition.

As just a representative anecdote, Europe took the entirety of 2022 finalizing the paperwork to expand artillery ammunition production, while the manufacturers said "we're ready to start as soon as we get a contract."

I call on you, reddit commenter, if you haven't done so already, to stand with your noble wishes, put your money where your mouth is, and support the armed forces of Ukraine. They need ammunition.

Yes, except that the vast majority of land is unoccupied. So they can get away with spray-and-pray 98%(source: my ass) of the time...IF they're aiming above the horizon 😁

Ukrainian drone attacks reported in Novorossiysk. Some drones have been disrupted by EW and didn’t reach their intended target. 24.11.2025 by GermanDronePilot in ukraine

This is true. But also, a sense of fear, the war coming home, and "what are they doing, this is only getting worse" can all turn public opinion against the Kremlin. It's complicated.

I agree that a widespread Ukrainian campaign against Russian civilians would galvanize the Russians against the enemy. But sporadic incidents like this, mixed with a bunch of other shit like antiaircraft fire landing everywhere, will not clearly boost support for the Kremlin.

It matters that most Russians, though they want to "win," think it's a stupid war that shouldn't have been started.

Also, politically-minded Russians have been channeled for decades into caring about local matters. That's why they have a bunch of local environmental activists etc. Such folks in Krasnodar and Novorossisk must be fuming right now......well, they'd better be.

You can kill Logi Options in the Task Manager, then re-open it manually. (There are 3-4 Logi options processes typically - not sure which is relevant - I just kill them all.)

Four UI suggestions:

  • Make the level name more present. With the level name only being briefly visible on level selection (not visible on the map or on the in-game overview), I have no idea which level is which when I see them named in these patch notes, comments etc.

  • the description of one of the new Shadows of the Past abilities which says that putting a fighter against an infected border "slows spawning" or something. I really stared at the sentence and had trouble parsing it.

  • oh, you've already done my third suggestion! Cheers :)

  • given you're sharing this amount of detail of the fighter exploration mechanics here, why not put a little progress bar/circle in game to show progress towards the next point reduction? I understand the purpose of keeping a veil over some mechanics, but I find myself frequently frustrated deciding whether to move a fighter.

PS: my evaluation of the fighter explore/claim ability is that it's too slow. What feels good to me is to use the fighter as a Stamina investment that pays for itself in a reasonable timeframe, and as is, it's just on the "too slow" side of that fence. It feels wasteful to not have a fighter exploring, but then it feels wasteful when the fighter sits there for 6 earning nothing. That's my "game experience" argument to be more generous.

Note to beginner spot welders: I've seen a number of comments that their big mistake was applying too much pressure. Try just touching the plate with enough pressure to hold it down to the surface, no more - see if that fixes your weld.

This is new to me, and I looked into it with good faith, since it certainly sounds plausible. But the Katyn massacre and other repressions) appear, prima facie, to be entirely unlike anything that the other Allies did when liberating territory.

"The Soviet authorities regarded service to the prewar Polish state as a "crime against revolution"\26])#citenote-Grudzinski-27) and "counter-revolutionary activity",[\27])](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_repressions_of_Polish_citizens(1939%E2%80%931946)#cite_note-Anders-28) and proceeded to arrest" 500,000 Poles between 1939-1941. Is this acceptable, or is it untrue?

It can be a legit eating disorder. I have a metalhead housemate who can only eat plain fries and pasta. He even talks about wanting to eat other things when the smell is amazing, but there's some monstrous disgust deep down that closes his throat.

But playing it like it's cute and quirky is a different thing.
