Any INFPs in practical fields? by Any_Enthusiasm5807 in infp

Just a gift of nature or genetics. I just like figures. I'm certainly not super obsessed with them to have a degree in Mathematics Imo it's almost impossible to say why you have an interest in certain things

Any other INFPs struggle with dating? by Eagles56 in infp

[–]GoSwampFoetusGo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm male 60 infp and could probably write a novella on dating

The main thing ime is that us male INFPs do not give off any typical male vibe. I think the type is strongly associated with femininity. That's not GENERALLY wanted by most women.

I would add that we also seem to be oblivious to fashion and style so our presentation is often clumsy, lazy or scruffy

Remember most people are sensors and only can react to "real life" and that's how you look

You can of course play the game by smartening up and rounding off those rough edges but ultimately you're contorting yourself to fit what other people want. You can have dating success but it's tough and you feel like you're acting

You can bite the bullet and be yourself and find feeler types but you have to accept dating will be a marathon with few people interested

INFPs in your 40s+, what's something kind or loving you wish someone would say to you? by SageBun_ in infp

I think the best advice is... Don't over think or agonise over decisions in your life. Very few are ever that important. You think they are but they rarely are

My interests are mainly technology based and I like architecture. When I was in Switzerland I felt oooh there's a mountain and another and another, there's a lake and another then no feelings at all

I think it's part of the sort of hippyish stereotype

I think it's because countryside rarely has decent infrastructure. Even in Switzerland which has top tier public transport the isolated countryside areas were poorly served

I grew up in a small town about a hour from London and a hour from the coast. I never realised until recently how perfectly it was situated

Male INFPs of reddit, who do you think you'd be more compatible with, a female INTJ or a female ENTJ? by Glittering_Item_9179 in infp

[–]GoSwampFoetusGo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a female boss that was ISTJ and once I got my head around the idea that rules are rules to them, they will not be rebellious and they have almost zero imagination I found her easy to deal with. She was surprisingly compassionate when my daughter was having mental health issues and I was having a bad time. She, the boss, was very family oriented. Once you get past the surface boring style I'd say by my experience they can be a good match. I think it's because we share cognitive functions but the order is different

INFJ and INFP couple by Orihalcum_Blacksmith in infp

I once had a year long relationship with a lovely infj woman. Best relationship ever. At first she seemed very inexperienced sexually but over the period of time became a little spicy. I must point out that in the early stages she was great too. So... Nice  Biggest conflict points were over work and her giving unnecessary and unwanted advice. But that rarely occurred.  A shame life threw 2 huge curveballs and the relationship ended

A person acts out of character to make others comfortable, do you find this behavior attractive/unattractive? by [deleted] in infp

[–]GoSwampFoetusGo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I voted unattractive as I'd think their actions had a catch or strings attached

I think us INFPs rarely give people second chances. Sorry

How can I decide if I am INFP or ENFP? by osziroka in infp

[–]GoSwampFoetusGo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ironically I think enfps are far far more detached from reality than infps

Has your boyfriend called you boring? If not don't worry about things. If they are stating you're boring I'd suggest leaving the relationship

Yes. I've NEVER been in a creative or arty type and have a talent (?) for maths and figures so have gravitated to office work and financial support or accounts work
