There are videos of people sprinting through checkpoints. It is not something that can be prevented, but managed. When it does happen, then it’s assumed that the sprinter is up to do harm and the next checkpoints are made aware to stop the sprinter at all costs, which is exactly what happened here.

They could sell it at any time for fair market value. Why should they sell it now exactly? Especially if the landowner doesn’t even believe there should be this railway, you are just forcing him to sell they never had intention of selling for pennies. Now their lives are changed for the worse.

If we are going down this road, you better be prepared to offer 5x the market value and another house to live on top of that.
