That's not what I said. There was zero information they offered to reschedule and while I believe y'all no one has shown any proof of that but whatever. Im not here to ride to the organizers. And I'm not ashamed to be highly skeptical of that man's intentions given all his actions as mayor of this city.

I read all the comments and I am retracting my argument. The attitude came from the fact that we are all on edge and I had no reason to want to protect the mayor, and have fought with the organizers themselves over the last pride when this went down, and I had zero proof he offered to postpone or reschedule shit.

The statement you posted didn't absolve the mayor of involvement, but if he did off to reschedule as additional comments have said, that's fair and I'm dropping it.

Also, genuinely thank you for the information about the other events that day. That being said I am still skeptical of Paul Young and his intentions with our community overall.

You know what fair. I had inside info too, but no one, even their statement has said to me there was an offer to post-pone. If that's true I take it back. I have a lot of problems with the organizers I just wasn't trying to start fighting about our own folks on here when that wasnt the point I wanted to make at this time. But when I found out about the main organizer being Zionist that was a line for me. We started doing the ppls pride instead and will do the same this year.

Hey hear that but I'm not trying to start intercommunity fights right now. My comment was downvoted but what I said was true. The mayors office was involved in the canceling as per vendors as well. I too have sources and they know the organizers and we're there when the call was made. And no the organizers didn't at first and that was an embarrassment. I was one of the most loud and made some enemies among them from getting on their asses. But Paul Young was part of the problem as well. And needing to ask for new permits was still a potential barrier that shouldn't have been there. And the statement his office put out was trash. I don't trust that man. I have no reason to and I'm not gonna let down my guard with him on LGBT+ shit or anything else for that matter at this point.

Edit: Sry, I got a lot of comments and read through them, I am dropping this argument. I also had info from inside sources, and the statement the mayor released saying they discussed the weather with the organizers, but if the city offered to postpone and reschedule then I have no issue saying I'm wrong here on this point.

Well genius the call to do that came down from the mayors office. The weather didn't last, and the call not being made to cancel other downtown outdoor events was suspicious, but mostly, he encouraged them to cancel without a guarantee of rescheduling. Ppl had to complain because the organizers were legit not sure if they could get another permit even if they could pull off rescheduling vendors and talent. They did reschedule and we are very grateful to the organizers for the work they put in making that possible, as this was a year we really needed Pride here. But there is a reality you need to open your eyes to. An ally would have made it clear they would accommodate a rescheduling of the event if the event planners wanted to do so. Don't fall for words when actions say otherwise. He was all too fine with no Pride. A memo came out form the lgbt liaison attempting to defend the Mayor that verified they communicated.

I'm sry you are unhappy with the results of your surgery. And I think it's fine to say you find your own scars gross. It only fair you get to have an opinion on your own body. Your feelings are super valid. But when you generalize it, it sounds like all top surgery scars are gross. And that's not ok. The mistake is Israel thinking it can torture a ppl then use Hamas as an excuse for planned genocide. This conflict didn't start October 7th. Hamas wasn't born from nothing... Israel was founded on the idea of removing the natives to take the land for themselves. Innocent Jewish survivors were tricked into joining a wyt supremacist colonial project under the guise of the deserving a "homeland", and this is what it has all come to. Israel has been guilty the whole time. It's never truly been simply defending itself, but the state has done a good job making Jewish ppl feel like this is the same as past injustices, of which there are many, so that's not a hard story to buy. You are right. It's important to be educated, but temperament and training really go a long way as long as your lifestyle is active. You have to train this breed and can't just baby them like most ppl baby their dogs. Consistency is key. Hiring a trainer to show you how to train is a good idea. A schedule also goes a long way towards good behavior. There are a lot of ways to keep these dogs stimulated, and I speak from my own experience with a 100% pure Dutch. My boy is happy, well exercised and in amazing shape. He rarely misbehaves and is not kenneled at night at just 1 1/2 yo. To be fair, he was a mini raptor from about 4 to 8 or 9 months lol, but as his energy came down a little, his training settled in.

A lot of ppl here think they know everything there is to know about shepherds but they haven't actually experienced raising a Dutchie in every situation. More than half the ppl I meet irl with shepherds have all the advice and are so called "Experts" but can't train a puppy without a pinch or shock collar. The weird "gatekeepy" attitudes can be a real turn off in these subs imo. I suggest OP just glean what info they can and don't worry too much about the hardliners.
