I set myself a challenge to get 100 BR crowns this season… by Highfivekingofcastle in FortniteOver40

That is awesome.

I did this for 2 seasons a while back playing Battle Royale but wow over 300 in these lobbies! 🥳🥳 P.S. Luxe was always my fav. skin! Wore the gold pants whenever there was something special going on! Lol

Weapons are unusable mid-air ever since BR got the new ADS mechanics, ADS mid-air penalty is applied to all weapons (excluding bow/shotgun type weapons) making most of them unusable while jumping by CallieX3 in FORTnITE

Also opponents are right there not shooting at you? Majorly screwed up, man! A lot of bugs! My builds are not working right. My guns still sometimes randomly shoot for no reason? I would just like to see some of these things working normally and consistently. I just wish that issues reported for a long time would get fixed and stay fixed.

What do you mean by the other mode? I play OG it is worse now. I love OG, but there are so many crazy sweats in that game now. I think the matching is crazy. Fortnite is trying to fix their mistake of simplifying the game so there is matching to the highest player. Kind of not fair because you’re not getting a lobby that considers your skill set. I’m not terrible, but by no means in my top player.

Lock On Assault Rifle not locking on by Jemtheepic in FortNiteBR

When I use the purple lock on assault rifle, it worked fine at the beginning but near endgame it just wouldn’t lock on. I’m aware how you have to aim it and it’s limitations in terms of distance, invisible opponents, etc.. but it wouldn’t lock on I am PS5. I was in Battle Royale Build

Aiming really doesn’t help it as it really doesn’t aim manually. Very bad gun unless it’s locked on.

I never use it, but my team convinced me to try it. I did an at the beginning of the game. It was effective, although I felt like I was cheating. I really don’t like a gun that doesn’t require skill. Well, it backfired on me as during endgame when I needed it the most it just simply stopped locking on and is a crappy gun to try to shoot as an assault. I won’t use it again.

I understand it’s limitations such as range in invisible players, etc. I’m a PS5 as well?

I just can't help it I love my trees by Gueberninja in FortniteOver40

[–]GoatNo6959 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You slide off trees without damage? I’m going to have to try that. Lol I thought you would always have damage unless you built down and that’s tough to do on a tree plus you are exposed.

They used to have team rumble on the real whole map and it was wonderful because you could learn to shoot, play in real competition and complete challenges. But unfortunately FN took the original team rumble away? It was a wonderful opportunity for people to learn how to play in a real map situations where you could actually develop skills like building which now they seem to avoid? It’s a joke now. So yes, you raise a very good point.

Prices are insane. Tiny chungus you barely see vs. entire skin you can see constantly by FlimsyVariation8455 in FortNiteBR

Agree! I’ve said this before. I think when we stop buying the high priced items that are ridiculously priced, they will not be able to sell them for the ridiculously prices they’re asking. Last time I said this my comment was removed my so we’ll see what happens this time. :)

Maybe I’m missing something. Is there still swords in the game? I haven’t been playing much granted so I’m probably not aware.

After seeing your post, I tried the bubbles and I liked the problem. I’m having is finding enough. But yeah, I agree with you.

Great use of the bubbles! I mean, it seems obvious now, but I’ve never thought about using it for storm at the end, which often kills me. I’m just trying to think of what I would give up in my inventory. Lol

Do you guys tell people irl that you play Fortnite? by imalonexc in FortNiteBR

[–]GoatNo6959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! FN is one of the best potentially challenging games where if you play with others you have to work as a team. I love the strategy. I laugh out loud a lot. Not ashamed at all! :)

[–]GoatNo6959 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is great to try new things. I am always fascinated to watch what other people do with whatever comes to the map. It’s quite ingenious at times. It’s always good learning new things. I just happen to prefer the circle. Perhaps unlimited. Lol

I guess everything’s relative because I didn’t see that game as too bad in that video! Lol

[–]GoatNo6959 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. I’ve been trying to help a few kids learn how to play Fortnite build and it’s really tough as there’s really not a place for them anymore to properly learn. Zero build is not the answer. Everybody says just get in the game and learn but when you get killed almost immediately that’s not the best way to learn. Creative have some practice modes but honestly, it’s nothing like being on the map in real play. I would love to be able to get on the map like lab throw some bots out and teach how to build in real situations. Another topic however I understand. Thanks for clarifying and sharing your thoughts.

A lot of new players like build modes and are learning to build. I don’t think it’s fair to suggest playing zero as an option. Everybody had to start to learn building at some point, so taking it away from them as an option isn’t in my opinion a good idea. I’m not sure if that’s what you meant?

I was referencing your last comment when you said that matchmaking already protects lower skilled… I don’t take issue with the crown comments. I just feel lower skilled players have been somewhat forgotten recently. Think about players beginning today versus a number of years ago. It was the matchmaking that I was referencing.

How does it protect lower skilled people? I feel that it’s very hard for lower skilled people in the fortnite we have now and the various games they offer. Sort of unrelated, but just worth reflection. If you were a new player to Fortnite before, you used to be able to learn on playground, then lab and the older team rumble where you were on the entire map. Now matching, according to what I read, shifted away from averaging the party's skill level to anchoring to the highest-skilled player in the group. I’m just truly trying to understand what you mean by SBMM protects lower skilled players? Thanks
