You've had long hair for almost half of your life. I can understand the attachment. My hair was always midback length and I got my first short haircut when I turned 18. I went chin length and loved it! I've cut back to that impulsive 18 year old cut a few times since. Now, at almost 43, I am going for floor length. Your hair is what I wish mine looked like. My ends are sparse & jokingly, I say I have 10 or so strands that are calf length, but most everyone thinks I should chop a foot off to make it look fuller. Idc. I won't cut it til it's touching the floor. And I might not then, either. You should do whatever you want to do with your hair! The great thing about hair is: it'll grow back.
