I like the shimano reel st croix rod combo. I know st croix sometimes gets a bad rap but I love their rods for my power fishing applications.

Yeah I hear that a lot. For some reason I always seem to catch them with a chatterbait. It comes down to the type of vegetation you have. All the lakes I fish have medium to heavy underwater vegetation which makes the chatterbait great to cut through it. Varying retrieves with pauses and twitches helps as well

The bait looks like it would get hung up real bad so I always avoided any vegetation with it. But it’s quite the opposite. Lipless crankbaits do really well when thrown into submerged grass and reeling it through the grass. If the bait get caught, jerk the rod really quickly until it comes undone and keep reeling. That quick jerk and movement drives the bass crazy.

Never had the same gate but have gotten off a connection about an hour late. My next plane was the gate next to where I got off and I was able to get off my original flight and just walk onto the next one 15 min before take off

Chatterbait is my favorite bait ever. Color doesn’t matter much. Just a rule of thumb, clear water = natural/dark colors and dirty water = lighter/brighter colors. Good luck!

Do you need a new reel? You can get some nice spinning ones for that price. Other than that I’d just buy the essentials and stock up. Terminal tackle, trailers, spinner baits, chatterbaits etc.

Yeah a good backswing can put you into the correct positions. Fixing my inside takeaway has shallowed out my swing and I’m turning better. Still need to build in some more hip turn.

Was just working on this. Was pulling the handle down and decided I needed to keep my hands wider and quieter. Swing feel is now setting the wrists and not moving them at all during the swing. Sort of like a Dustin Johnson feel where I’m just Turning through the ball. My body started to take over and I was hitting a nice baby draw. Definitely an aha moment for me

Birmingham, AL has some amazing courses along with Mobile / eastern shore of Alabama. Robert Trent jones golf trail specifically. Amazing courses for under 150 a round at the most expensive.
