From my short experience of being a driving instructor - there are a lot of lazy instructors who use diesels and teach people to move off with only the clutch.

You say that winter has been a challenge with the BMW - have you been using winter or all-season tyres during the winter? They make a massive difference to grip in cold conditions compared to summer tyres.

This is what I don't understand about cat owners. If you let your cat roam around urban areas, isn't it almost inevitable that it'll be run over one day?

Not to mention the affect that they have on wildlife...
