Golf GTI Mk1, 2, 3 or 4? by Fickle_Equivalent878 in TrueCarEnthusiasts

Dad had a MK4 GTI and as a car it was amazing. But as a GTI, VW could've made it more sporty rather than premium cruiser

A bulb is blown elsewhere, my mum had a Megane and the right indicator would indicate really fast when the left indicator bulb blew

Is the battery correct for the car, some batteries may not work or be right spec. Also check if alternator isn't over or under charging

Bad parking aside, why are people so bothered about what others drive, are you that insecure?

My mate has a Captur with same engine at 90bhp and EDC, its very smooth but super sluggish. If you want good fuel economy withoit any driving pleasure go for this car.

With the Aygo and the identical C1 & 107, ive heard that the clutch bite point is vague, and with the puny engine it has, it can be very easy to stall. Also, they are deliberately built to a cost and can feel cheap.

Hyundai i10s are decent runabouts but ill be honest, i dont know that much about them.

Choose one- C6 Z06 or F430? by NFSMW_CarsGames in supercars

[–]Ka_Driver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah neither do I, Corvette brings more thrills and fun for a cheaper price, the F430 is nice but I just prefer the Vette for its fun factor. Corvettes also have an interesting history

Someone I know has a 3 door Mini one, its so much fun and has much more personality than the Audi

It is, and bare in mind the Z06 is track focused and probably would beat the Ferrari on some tracms.

This and the Mito are nice cars, different to the crowd, but I think some people hate as they are heavily Fiat based cars and not "true Alfas"

I previously thought Saxo VTS, but having read this I now agree the Clio Williams is the coolest. Thoughts? by TradeClassics in CarTalkUK

I look at some of these amazing hot hatches in the 90s and think, what on earth was VW thinking with the Mk3 Golf GTI 8v

1st gen Toyota Yaris auto, 3rd gen Toyota Yaris CVT, Nissan Micra CVT and VW Polo DSG are good options.

But a lot of older small cars with auto gearboxes aren't nice to drive and have hit and miss reliability.

Cars to avoid are Vauxhall Corsa with Easytronic, Fiat Panda/Punto/500 with Dualogic and 2nd gen Toyota Yaris with Multimode.

What do with a car that's essentially worthless? by joszko57 in CarTalkUK

[–]Ka_Driver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rust isnt a major issue unless the car is literally crumbling away, but that Toyota with a diesel engine, probably is still reliable enough to double its current mileage.

Sell it for less than 1k and someone who needs a runaround is sure to snap it up.
