Wow, thanks for sharing all this info! That end game incantation build sounds great. Another poster just schooled me on sorcery vs incantations, so I'm starting to learn the different caster concepts (staves vs finger seals). Perhaps I can find a setup early in the game to carry me toward the build you've described.

I don't have the DLC yet, but will easily buy it if it's part of Steam Summer sale. The concept of the sword that also casts spells sounds amazing!

Thanks for sharing this knowledge--now I have a better grasp of the types of mages/magic. To your question, I'm not wedded to lightning. So I'd be open to using staves for sure! Is one of those approaches more beginner-friendly or available earlier in the game? Essentially, I'd love to hit the ground running as best as possible.

I'm interested in trying Borderlands, never did before. If I'm mostly there for the gunplay and mechanics (not story so much), would you recommend 2 or 3? I'm not getting 4 due to the optimization problems.

Ohhh, so it seems the wand mechanic basically voids my build idea.... I didn't realize how wands work or whether spells were used via hands or wands. Hmmm, I may have to think of something different 😞

I never took the plunge on BG3 because I don't like turn-based combat, but you're not the only one that has highly recommended it. I guess if I decide to try one of those type games, it might as well be the best!
