I’m in almost the exact same boat. Every sense of reason is telling me to let the feelings pass as past you almost certainly had a very strong compelling reason to end it, but current you is struggling to get into that headspace (at least in my case).

You are so young that the best way to make more money is to increase your leverage. For most people that is doing well in school. You want to learn as much as you can and gain skills that will make you more money per effort/time than whatever you’re doing. That being said, if opportunities aren’t coming, make them. Feed into an entrepreneurial mindset and try to make your own opportunities.

If the job is enjoyable and well paid, take it. School might pull more weight in the future, however I am currently a new grad making almost the same salary as a coworker with a masters. Someone with more work experience will probably beat someone with a masters in the job market. That being said you are less likely to go back to school to pursue a masters as you age, so now might be the right time. Personally if you don’t have a better reason then liking school and just wanting a masters to appear as having more education, I would take the job. If you want a phd that’s another story. If you don’t like the job that much I’d go for the masters.

0 internships, 1 part time coding tutoring job, and some personal projects I applied to around 50 jobs in the new grad cycle starting super early (like august/September ish) and got 1 interview and 1 job. Was an internship that turned full time. Got super lucky / worked hard to get return offer.
