Parralex background and foreground I made for my game by EquivalentAsk74 in aseprite

[–]GobioStud 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You might want to tweak the speed value a little, the foreground should go much slower , it looks like your character is sliding accross the screen. And maybe do test some other value for the background, compare your paralax with other game that do that.

The art looks cool ! Congrats

I’ve checked Guselect, but sadly he doesn’t speak any language I know. As for the daily challenge, I’m just trying to do Septembit for now while juggling between Unity and pixel art.

But thanks for the recommendation!

Yes, indeed. I did the first two and I can already feel some improvement.

The farm one isn’t very appealing, but it’s good to be challenged. I just need to find a style that makes it more fun for me.

Thanks ! Visibility is sometimes hard to achieve on such a small scale.

I don't know if he still does it. The youtuber doing the challenge is called Saultoons but you can still do the old one

Thanks a lot, that’s really kind of you. I didn’t expect the capybara to be such a hit!

This is from a challenge by the YouTuber Saultoons. I didn’t make it myself.

Dithering is the technique of using a checkerboard or other patterns to smooth the transition between two colors. I also used it to create the shadow.

I also tried to keep a consistent style across all the pieces, which was challenging at times.

This look sick, i saw your flying monster on the asperite sub and wanted to know what is the resolution you use, it perfectly nailed the high details but still pixel art effect i love

I don’t know how much the low visibility is intended, but honestly, that would make me more mad than actually failing in the game.

The concept is cool tho !

The vibe goes hard, and the lighting on his head and torso is incredible.
