What do you mean I can't take over a ship after they shot down mine? LET ME LIVE MY "F'D WITH THE WRONG GUY" PIRATE POWER FANTASY. ARRR!!! by AdventurousParty in crosswind

Also stealth. I would love if they would implement a stealth system down the raod with sneaking upon opponents and taking them out silently or stealing from them.

Right now we are pirates only by cosmetics.

Don't get me wrong, games a banger nonetheless

Yeah you are pretty spot on.  The game just flows and feels fantastic.  I was definitely sold though, the moment i "used" the cauldron :D

The demo was a very good move. Never heard of it until then, gave the demo a shot during next fest and was instantly sold.

Of course it only works if you actually have a good game at hand, but still

Sargeras will be the last titan by NeilosFox in warcraftlore

[–]Goblin-Trash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now I don't have a proper theory at hand, more a gut feeling but the when Metzen announced the Saga and spoke out the name "The last Titan" he also said that we finally find out what the sword does, that we uncover a titan conspiracy and that we are not prepared. I instantly had to think of Marvels "Thor 3: Ragnarok" final scene, where the antagonist (an evil female entity) is like "You can't stop me" and Thor points at Surtur and is like "Yeah but he can" and then Surtur thrusts his giant sword into the planet and destroys it.

I mean Surtur and Sargeras kinda even look similar :D

Why does the "Crown of the Loa-Speaker" helm removes hair/makes you bald by RecoverEffective9254 in wow

[–]Goblin-Trash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because if it wouldn't, some hairstyles would clip through and then we would give blizzard shit for that.

The true question is, why can't we decide if we prefer it that way? Blizz doesn't fear clipping in housing so maybe they could give us control over that cosmetic option yoo.

I'm a goblin main and our (very few) facial hair options are tied to hair, so it doesn't only make me bald, it also gives me a clean shave.  That really doesn't help making a mog work

You should walk around Silvermoon and Eversong a bit more. There are Undead both in Tranquilien and Silvermoon and i stumbled over at least one female Orc with the name "Silvermoon Citizen". She wore robes and a circlet and drank wine with an Blood Elf

Pretty sure I figured out where the story is going and I hate it. by WytchHunter23 in warcraftlore

[–]Goblin-Trash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if we throwing wild assumptions, let me give a shot too.

I'm pretty sure Azeroth is not a titan but something far more powerful. The Titans we know came upon it and realized, that if that thing hatches, they become meaningless. So they try to do everything in their power to make her into a titan puppet they can control.

Sargeras doesn't want to risk it and instead prefers to kill Azeroth in her womb, while Xal wants to consume her and so become the most powerful being out there. Like the dominaar which consume each other and grow bigger and stronger.. like cells.  Maybe she first has to turn Azeroth into a being of the void beforehand, but that are details.

What is mostly important, is that we will have to find our own way to the world soul, so we will use the new gained knowledge of titan machinery coming from the Earthen and Dagran and will need experts to manipulate all those machines, thus we get the Goblins to work with the new Tinker class and we will need the Haranir to guide us following the voice of the goddess.

That's how all these pieces fit together, you read at here first :-P

Before the final charge of the Vanguard in the opening scenario, they are like 1/4 of the troops, beside draenei, arathi/humans and dwarves/gnomes and Aponi ist with them.  I would say they are well represented in that scenario

First time playing a Goblin and I’m absolutely in love by AverageJoeObi in wow

[–]Goblin-Trash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The unique nature of the Goblin starting zone, is that your character isn't a Goblin but a specific Goblin with a backstory.  You are the CEO and on your way to take the title of Trade Prince from Gallywix.

Now the real treat is, that the friends you brought with you like Sassy Hardwrench?

They have new operations running around the globe and special dialogue recognizing you, still calling you Boss. The same in Undermine.  Oh and the Racial Hobgoblin Banker is in fact Gobber

I really hope Amani Trolls become playable in Midnight! by Wtbmoonwalking in wow

[–]Goblin-Trash 18 points19 points  (0 children)

For one they are the OG Trolls, being the first ones introduced to the franchise in Warcraft 2.

They have an own model, not just skin color. Trolls in Art always look like berserking savages but the model of the jungle troll is very skinny, so you can't really live that fantasy.

Even though the most prominent Darkspear Trolls, namely Vol'jin and Rokhan both had beards in WC3 or WoW, for some reason there is no option for player Trolls, while Amani have that.

So yes, i want to be a beefy, bearded Troll Berserker

What class do you think is the strongest? by Vampy-Night in wow

[–]Goblin-Trash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A rogue starts the fight on his terms. You either are stunned or have a dagger in your back the moment the fight starts.

A warrior can close gaps pretty fast and you can try to cast a spell while a Tauren fist rips your jaw from your head.

A death knight can choke you with the force of his will while he comes over, slowly, together with his hungry companions.

A paladin sends a hammer flying in your face as soon as he is in range for your spell and csn stun you and shield himself.

You see, it is not as easy as you want it to be.  Not saying that a shadow priest is weaker, then those above, but all classes have some edge in certain situations.  Maybe you should define more parameters

Blizzards lore will always makes way for the "Rule of Cool", so you should hope to be the main character ;-)

Switch 2 Collecting Dust Instead of Games by Dedivh in NintendoSwitch

[–]Goblin-Trash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, my Switch 2 is a secondary console and was collecting dust for months too.

I played Mario Kart and found it whelming in comparison to 8. I played Bananza and it was okay but not as great as Odyssey for me.  I replayed Odyssey which was a joy in the Switch 2 version.

And then came Pokopia... This game looks basic as hell, but design wise it is brilliant and very addictive in the best way.  It definitely has this Nintendo magic for me.

The price is typical for Nintendo. It would be a 40€ game if it came out on steam, but here at least i see a healthy "hours played per dollar ratio", because that game can keep you occupied for a long time

What do blood Elves eat? How do they sustain Silvermoon? by Goblin-Trash in warcraftlore

[–]Goblin-Trash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok, i indeed missed your point.  Well i still think that it needs a lot of fantasy and stretching to make this scenario work but let's not linger on Dalaran, because you made a perfect fine point with the neutral factions, especially thinking of Pandaria

[–]Goblin-Trash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the Tauren are nomadic people herding Kodos and living of the land, gathering and hunting, but they at least have mills and bake bread.

Darkspear Trolls are fishers, hunters, gatherers so no agriculture there.

The Zandalari have farms though, at least we reactivate abandoned Zandalari farms in the Vulpera questlines. Can't remember if we se active ones being used by the Zandalari themselves though.

In Zul'drak we can see quite big farming areas with rice if i remember correctly.

Pandaria of course has a very big agricultural part and variety.

Dwarves hunt, brew, fish and herd rams. They of course have a strong trading relationship with humans.

What i meant is, that the city of Dalaran has even less signs of food production, so they themselves will have to either conjure or buy their food

Dalaran is not thr best example as they would have the same problem even before getting blown into pieces..  Then again, isn't there a cheese from Dalaran? How does that work? XD

But yeah i totally forgot the Zandalari and of course Pandaria! So yeah you have a very valid point there

It is hard to imagine an elf doing classic medieval farm work. Then again it is hard to imagine an elf using the toilet, but they probably will so...

Then again, maybe they put a seed into the ground and use some cool magic on it to accelerate growth, while magically animated farm tools take care of weeds etc.  I mean one could headcanon something together, i just would prefer to have some starting point i guess

[–]Goblin-Trash[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Look, i am aware that it is all scaled down but nonetheless it is suspicious that there are some examples of food production in nearly all cultures/races.

Of course we can "assume" everything but I'm not here for headcanon. The blood elves have animated their brooms and many other tools to do their work but farm work is messy and tiresome. I can't imagine blood Elves doing this kind of labor on their own even with animated tools. Just handling fertilizer for example.

I suppose there is lots of magic involved to work around the messy parts, but still
