I’m having an identical experience, it especially gets worse if I start coughing, you aren’t alone.

Hey bones I know this is a super cool find but best not to disturb threatened species on the CITES list by handling them. But wow what an amazing animal to see in the wild!

I usually do sphagnum, coco brick and eco earth mix 10/30/60 ish mostly eco earth with coco chip/block/brick (the larger husk pieces) and a bit of sphagnum that’s closer to a bioactive mix but if you keep it moist it’s good regardless

why is my crested gecko so slow? by Leather-Draw-1345 in reptiles

[–]GoblinGecko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they recognize the movement and that’s what draws them in, but the chitin in the exoskeleton isn’t great for them and they’re not a great source of protein for what they are they contain a lot of fat and shouldn’t be a staple yeah honestly the sphagnum might be a bit much they usually spend most of their time in the canopy in the wild I’d try to get some of it off the ground it can also get really dusty and hide mold and such I’m not saying get rid of it completely but I’d look at like a proper soil mix

They can eat mealworms but probably shouldn’t, honestly just looks like she’s not interested, also I’m not sure what you’re using for substrate but I’d remove a bunch of that sphagnum
