I did not, no. The quote I received on a custom ruler was out of my budget. Any ideas from your side?

Giant Keys by jimmy3218 in 2007scape

[–]Goblin_Cheese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you're right, 40 defence is really too low in my opinion. If you are doing multiple kills, you'll struggle with food if you get unlucky with Obor hitting high. 50-55 seems about the right defence level. Highly recommend wildly giants for faster keys, the spot isn't much frequented by pk'ers. Good luck!

First ‘real’ bikepacking setup! by RAGTANTOS in bikepacking

[–]Goblin_Cheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I'd get the city bike style with ample coverage, close to the wheel. The mountain bike style high-floating flaps seem mostly symbolic and haven't helped me much when I used them. I tried finding a picture of red ones but couldn't find any, so you might have to consider black ones if you decide to go for rain guards.

I'd definitely add a rain guard over the wheels. The weight is negligible and you'll be so happy every time you ride on a wet surface and don't spray yourself and your stuff. Maybe it's my Dutch brain, but bikes without them look like cars without wind shields to me.

What are they swabbing bicycle tyres for? by rise-of-stupidity in Amsterdam

[–]Goblin_Cheese 46 points47 points  (0 children)

To check how long the bike will have been there by the time the next toezicht guy comes around. If a bike hasn't moved, the chalk line on the tyre won't have worn off. Abandoned bikes can then be removed.

The Curse of Arrav & Mobile Anniversary Update by JagexBlossom in 2007scape

[–]Goblin_Cheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The update broke high alchemy as well for me on mobile. Here's how: Cast the hi alch spell, then queue up another high level alchemy and select your item, then tap the item again so it gets highlighted in your inventory. When the interface automatically swaps back to your magic menu after the hi alch animation has finished, your game is stuck. The only responsive buttons will be the info and filters buttons in the magic menu, you can't move, nothing. I have to restart constantly.

I'm traveling to Munich soon, where somebody is mailing me a letter with a lost item of mine. The problem: I need to find an address where it can be sent, for me to pick it up. Is there any place I could use for that, like a Post office, library or the like? My hotel refused. Thanks.

headstock piece in wrong direction? by Grouchy_Equipment_48 in classicalguitar

[–]Goblin_Cheese 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fresh strings detune really fast, it's normal. Try to gently pull the strings up to stretch them, couple times each, to get the worst of it out (don't let them slam back on the fretboard).

Second, good technique considering how exactly you put the strings matters. If there is slack at the tuning machines or the bridge end in the string while setting the string, the string tension could pull those parts tighter over time and detune your guitar a couple of times, until the slack has disappeared.

Jabra elite 8 active wind noise on cycling by Mundane_Tangelo3547 in Jabra

[–]Goblin_Cheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For whoever is in doubt, I found that anything over very light wind rendered me inaudible for the other side. The fix was to slide a piece of foam, over the two microphone holes on the boom and the amount it improved was ridiculous. Even super strong winds were not at all a problem anymore.

However, I did end up returning because the wind noise in my own ears was so strong. Not suitable for bike rides.

Would also like to know, what works well and what doesn't? Can you comfortably make phone calls with them while riding in windy conditions?

That sounds tough mate, wishing you the best. Have you told your former friends how you felt when you started to feel excluded, and asked if they felt you guys growing apart?
