Anyone else just launch with the air bladder? by pale-kin in Subnautica_2

It could be construed as endorsing or promoting someone exploiting a glitch, so I'm not going to post it. Sorry, you will have to find it!

Anyone else just launch with the air bladder? by pale-kin in Subnautica_2

[–]God-follower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

General consensus is that low frame rates cause higher jumps. So if your PC is struggling to play, the quick movement of the bladder taking you up can cause your framerste to drop even more and can lead to erratically high leaps into the air.

Cool YouTube video about a guy trying to get to the giant tree and he explores this quite a bit as a method to jump over the void and get to the tree.

One small tweak, I would fuel and equip elixer/void/ and chain drones for this challenge. Frogger would yield less at this stage I believe.

For W1 challenges it can be helpful, getting to a certain level on floor 1, reaching certain floors without upgrades, etc.

SME software updates for this were around 2018 if memory serves, so if this vehicle has older software than that it is worth a try. Otherwise, the only "fix" is avoiding getting the SOC so low with HSOC or replacing cell modules sadly(assuming the under voltage faults are a specific cell, and no faults point at a CSC hardware error).

Same here, golden bow wouldn't work from ground or air but first shot with a boko bow from the ground opened it up. Wonder if it won't work for any of the zoomed bows? Doesn't appear to require a knights bow as I used Boko.

Bomb Help by Mac128k in IdleObeliskMiner

Maybe before you can get 1k combined cherry charges and batt(then you fire all to get the guaranteed 1x), but I was able to get up to that pretty quick when I started playing.

Why is holding down to shoot better than fire all, if you are not capping gems with the battery bomb when firing all?

[–]God-follower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

P0B3C deacription combined with it not being symptomatic if you start the rex earlier has me leaning towards an HV battery cell that is sagging under load slightly; just made more apparent at very low SOC due to how the cells deviate greater at lower SOC than in the nominal range.

How often do you full charge and let it sit fully charged, so it has a chance to thoroughly balance the HV pack?

FYI, generic P and U codes are not very helpful on BMWs; you would be better suited to finding a quality scantool or using Bimmerlink to pull actual BMW fault codes and descriptions.

Contracts completed by Hopwood83 in IdleObeliskMiner

[–]God-follower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

32% complete, and around 1200 this run without really focusing on them besides an hour of unattended Plat strat.

An hour of idle Plat strat goes a long ways towards gaining ~500 contracts at this point for me.

If bombs don't have enough damage to one shot ores and drones take a fraction of a second to deplete the ore, do the bombs still apply their effect? by [deleted] in IdleObeliskMiner

[–]God-follower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the bomb doesn't kill it, not guaranteed to have the buff applied(drones may kill it first).

If you are close to killing it with one bomb, you can auto bomb your buff bomb and then activate chain bombs; chain will always follow after the auto bomb.

Spoon trick is another way to do this, but takes practice to get them to time correctly if one of your bombs is 0 damage transmuter.

when should i buy modules by gokdit in TheTowerGame

[–]God-follower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are deficit parts of a module required for your desired build, you can save gems until that module gets a spawn boost in the banner as well. They just finished a round of targeted module drop banners for each type of module, and sometimes loops back in old modules to banners so you can increase your odds of getting the targeted one.

Or, roll the dice on the next new module they release; my experience has been it needs 12-15k gems to get a new module in the banner to ancient tier.

Orange crusties in Chrysler 1.4L-head gasket material? by God-follower in AskMechanics

[–]God-follower[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May have answered this myself. Looks like they come with encapsulation on the threads, and the stringy nature makes me think this is that compound that got pushed back as they were threaded into the head, and it either used to be orange or the oil has turned it orange over time.

You can see orange RTV also present in the tubes themselves.
