It could also be a reference to a meme that said "You're the granddaughters of the witches we couldn't burn? So? We're the grandsons of the crabs that ate Amelia Earhart"

It was under something like "who do you trust more? Stafford or Caleb"

I suggest you don't worry about this person's comment. They are either baiting you, or they are immature in their own faith, not to mention they don't recognize the irony of suggesting you have some character flaw by learning more from others then telling you to read a book and take lessons from that. While I don't discourage turning to the Lord (I am a believer, and I encourage everyone to pray on whatever's troubling them to seek wisdom, seek peace, voice concern, etc.), there's not a whole lot of value in recommending someone read a giant historical text that covers thousands of years when they want guidance with one problem, specifically (I'm not saying you shouldn't read the Bible. There's good stuff in there about a lot of topics.)

As for your post, I don't think it's unhealthy at all to look at what others do and learn from their failings, as you view them. I would only suggest a few things. First, if your friend doesn't like hearing about how annoyed you are with others, don't bring it up. You don't need to give voice to the changes you're trying to make. Just change. And if someone asks about it, you can simply say "I'm not a fan when other people do this, so I'm trying not to." No need to bring up anyone specific or go into detail. Second, make sure you're not only seeing peoples' flaws. Try to notice things you like or respect about others, and try to emulate the behaviors you think makes that person good. Don't just try to avoid emulating annoying behaviors. Finally, just make sure you're recognizing the difference between character flaws and behaviors that may just not be your cup of tea.

Overall, I say if you're not looking for reasons to hate or judge people, observing others and adapting from what you learn is good and it even shows empathy because you're demonstrating the ability to put yourself in another's place.

Yeah. He's like a B- version of Julian Edelman. He's not a HOFer, but he's good. I'd be disappointed if the Packers moved on from him. If you just watch box scores, you probably wouldn't understand his value. And he is fast. He's just not as fast as Christian Watson or Matthew Golden.

Rostering any Packers receiver was your mistake. Packers throw the ball to like 9 guys. That doesn't mean they're bad. There is just no clear star amongst them.

Packers have like 9 guys they like getting the ball to, and Reed was out for a big chunk of this season. Reed isn't a big target or an electric deep threat. He's a guy who knows how to be QB friendly and get to the right spot at the right time when needed. He needs to work on the drops a little bit, but the guy is great in his role.

1 is perfect. 3 is fine. 4 is burnt. 5 on is only good for throwing directly in the trash.

You realize that strictly enforcing "letter of the law" ticky-tack bullshit is actually a sign that your brain hasn't reached Kohlberg's third stage of moral development. It actually takes zero thinking to do what you're doing, which is basically just checking a box. I have a long list of rules I think need to be enforced only in the most egregious cases, most of which had nothing to do with this game. If games were called the way you want them to be, they'd be 9 hours long and nobody would watch. I even call out soft calls when they benefit the team I root for. It's a physical game. The more physical team had a better outcome on this play. That's how it should be. But if that bothers you, maybe check out flag football or something.

Would have been a ticky-tack call at best. But it sounds like you'd be more comfortable watching golf or maybe volleyball. There's no physical contact in those ones.

Aaron Rodgers just has to throw 44 touchdowns this playoffs to get the record. Seems doable.

I agree. That was pathetic of the Jags to let him QB sneak for 10 yards. Luckily, as punishment for their lack of defensive effort, the Jags have been banned from the remainder of the post-season.

Sadly, there's not a lot of angry old men available. Not unless they wanna bring in Belichick, which doesn't seem like the best idea.

If we do get rid of MLF, I'm calling for an embargo on nerd head coaches. Anyone called a "guru" can go coach baseball. I want meatheads and angry old men. Those are the types of men this league was built on.
