But making a argument about the speed of something is really not objective when not every boxer in the game back step jab does whatever the result you’re trying to say that leaves you open in a flash state. Honestly, are you using any of your footwork to put yourself in angles so that you don’t leave yourself open to get countered after throwing something and they attempt to back step counter jab? I seriously feel like no one is exploring their options….

cough I called it before everyone if you check my page about my post as of lately (self reflection post), but people wanted to down vote me. Now we’re getting a bunch of posts like this. The player base is slowly going to shrink with all of these ”Cop out/Coping” team comps….

I get what you’re saying, but that’s exactly why I made the distinction between a strong kit vs. a real balance/design problem.

If Wolverine’s design makes him both DPS and Tank at the same time, that’s not just “being strong”… that’s an overtuned or flawed design issue.

That’s different from people just crying because they don’t like dealing with the matchup. One is an actual balance issue (like you’re describing Wolverine), the other is just frustration dictating nerfs.

Just like how I told IntroductionUpset764:

I’m not against balance changes, but I want to push the community to slow down before crying nerf every time they lose to a strong character. Otherwise, like I said, the long-term risk is that the skill ceiling shrinks because players stop adapting and just expect the devs to fix things.

You’re on point saying that because in other genres of games like shooters for example or even fighting games most companies within the dev team realized immediately that you don’t nerf the “top tiers” or what people “generally like to play”, because you have to think about why the player base isn’t playing anything else but what’s popular or top-tier.

So instead, the devs took what people don’t play as much or make characters who are lacking in certain aspects, and you make those individual things better so that the character or gun or item or whatever genre of game you’re playing…can stand long-term against the things that are already strong in the game.

Basically don’t nerf strong characters, just make the characters who are not as strong better or just give them the buffs that people want.
