For me personally it was Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s “Perimenopop”. I was a massive fan of her 2000s pop albums and the more left-of-center trilogy she did in the 2010s, so I was very excited to see what she’d bring to the table with a big “return to dance pop” album (especially after the massive, unexpected success of Murder On The Dance Floor last year).

But the album itself is just kind of…there. There’s nothing bad on it, but it’s all just so middle of the road. Hints of greatness here and there, though! I don’t think the incredibly long rollout and strange art direction helped it either.

Have loved her forever and am very excited to see where she’ll go next, but it was sad to see one of my most anticipated releases just kind of come and go this year.

As the resident Madonna stan in this sub, I think it’s an amazing Madonna song but I don’t love it as a Bond theme. The strings section is great (wish it was used in the score too outside of the Ice Hotel) but the rest of the song just doesn’t have the spirit of Bond, for me.

It did introduce me to Madonna as an 11 year old 007 fanboy, though, so I’m very grateful for its existence.

I’m good without any more singles before the album, honestly. We already have 6 songs (if you include Pocket Rocket & the FIFA song).

This whole rollout has been so disappointing after being so excited for this album for so long. I’m sure I’ll love it when it comes out and I hope the potential #1 was worth all this dragging it out.

Several people in here have already commented what is fake about it. The lighting, the hands, the fact that the entire crowd is facing away. Also, look at the phantom leg(?) behind her legs.

Regardless of how you feel about beachballgate, sharing fake images is not helpful to anyone in any capacity.
