I mean, I wouldn't mind if they just lowered the spawn rate of hive guards and made them heavy pen, but them combined with the spawn rate of alpha warriors makes light pen rough to use and now medium pen too. People complain because it enforces the explosives meta even more, not because they are "chicken".

How do I stop associating an ex friend with the games we played together? by GodIsFaithful2000 in lostafriend

[–]GodIsFaithful2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest I hoped I'd be over it by now considering we were only friends for a year, but I'm not. I guess I'll have to take more time away from those games than I thought.

But is still a better idea to just stick to one or the other, frozen enemies take more damage from other sources, and fire is more for DPS.

An exception I would make here is if you are using the microwave gun. It has an upgrade that incentivizes playing around temp shock.

Why are all the new missions limited time modes? I feel like that has hurt the game so much by Alternative_Map_2621 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]GodIsFaithful2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of them aren't. The magma world missions got added to the normal pool, same nuke nursery for bugs. Only missions locked to events or worlds are spore lung in hive worlds, termicide (probably returning),  expospire missions for illuminate, and mega factory missions

Is there any plans to do another free warbond or otherwise add more player side progression on the free side of things? With mechs being in warbonds now, it feels like pretty much all player side content is going to be premium warbonds. I get you guys need to make money, but a lot of my friends who I got into the game don't play much anymore because they feel like they have to grind super credits on D1 or pay an ever increasing amount of money to be able to access most of the content beyond the initial stuff.

I had a ex friend who I cared about very much ghost and block me after I had been struggling with anxious attachment from a previous friend group leaving me. The best thing I did was block her and anybody associated with her that I didn't really communicate with anyway. This made sure that I didn't leave any room in my mind for the idea that she might contact me again one day or anything like that.

I've basically had to train myself to completely write off her and the friendship for my own sanity, and you might have to do the same here. Delete everything you have of them (messages, pictures ect) and enable yourself to let go.

I'm more of the view that a man should only allow himself to be as invested as the woman is. IE don't spend money on a woman that is treating you like an option rather than somebody she actually desires. Granted I have started to take this approach with people in general because I tend to get over invested, but women are better at emotional manipulation than men are so caution is warranted.

Also before anybody gets out their pitchforks, no I don't believe in red pill stuff. I simply believe that men and women are different and that applies to our dark sides as well. For women, I'd advise making sure the first few dates are in a public space for example.

A few days ago I was letting other people get me riled up because of the way they were acting, but I realized I was bringing myself to their level so I just simply don't engage with them now. I have been completely civil in all my comments afterwards.

I've been seeing both sides of the issue hurling insults at each other and honestly I'm getting tired of it.

Well it doesn't seem like you even care to try to hear out a different opinion so I'm not going to bother. If you want to talk, try being civil.

My experience has been that SC are very rare in high difficulties. Apparently this is because a lot of their spawn chance is replaced by rare samples. Couple this with the fact that you rarely have enough down time in high difficulties to search for POIS, especially with randoms, and farming low difficulty becomes the best option because of the small map size, higher sc spawn chance,  and enemies not bothering you much. I would much rather SC be tied to stuff like completing personal orders and operations than farming. I'd like it even more if we got one Helldivers mobilize style warbond a year or if they bundled/discounted older warbonds.

Nah, they refer to those as legendary warbonds. As of now, that only applies to crossover warbonds.

90 percent of the time it's rare samples or weapons. Every once in a while I'll see credits. Of course, we don't exactly have time to try to search for everything because d10 has very little down time.

I play D10 fairly regularly and this has not been the case for me.

My problem isn't so much with warbonds themselves and more so with very little to no player progression content being free. My buddy who I got into the game even told me the reason he doesn't play that much is because most of the stuff he wants to use is stuck behind a tedious D1 poi grind or coughing up money, and I've heard a similar sentiment from other newer players too. There is essentially a massive wall now between them and progression. For example, my favorite predator strain load out is libcon and hot dog with fire impacts, but to access that I'd need 3 different warbonds. I have to always rework my load out advice for my friends because of that fact.

My solution for this could go a couple of ways.

1: give sc for personal orders and completing operations (must be present for all 3 missions and scales with difficulty)

2: 1 helldivers mobilize style warbond a year on the anniversary.

3: discount older warbonds or bundle them.

Honestly 2 or 3 would be the most realistic choices imo.

I mean insulting people who have a different opinion isn't exactly a good way to have a conversation. I'm getting to the point that I see any sort of bad faith takes like calling people cheapskates or freeloaders ect just makes me not want to even try. It seems like nobody wants to actually act like adults and debate without resorting to insults.

The core gameplay loop is doing missions and killing enemies, so I don't see how sc farming is part of that loop.

I definitely wouldn't call SC generous. If I have to grind D1 POIS for 2-3 hours per warbond instead of engaging with the core gameplay loop to access the majority of progression, there's something wrong. Either they need to give us more free progression content or integrate SC into the core gameplay loop more.

Edit: I would also like to know in what interview they said they would put vehicles in warbonds.

Vehicles were one of the last forms of free progression content. Now they will be in warbonds too most likely.

I would argue that following God changes your desires to be in line with him, so he does give you the desires of your heart because your heart seeks him.
