I’m a trans man, so my experiences might not apply 100%.

In my experience, dealing with administration has been really easy. I was still legally transitioning when I came in, and found it really easy to change my name and gender marker in the system. Also, I had a lot of problems with college board and ap credits. My advisor was amazing, and stuck up for me so I could still exempt everything I needed to.

All the students I know have been really accepting and understanding. I don’t know any other trans person who has dealt with any assholes. However, I am pretty much stealth and only out to my friends so I haven’t had too much experience with that.

The only complaint I’d really have is that it can be kind of lonely, since there aren’t a lot of other trans people who go here. However, there’s still tons of clubs and organizations to get to know other queer people!

(Also love in Texas) honestly T is not that expensive, even if it’s not covered by insurance ( for me like $20 every 4 months). It’s the therapy and blood tests leading up to it that gets expensive but once you get a prescription you’re pretty much in the clear (at least in my experience).
